There, are 3 locations for this restaurant and I understand they are all excellent. We ate in the one on Cathedreal, upstairs on the terrace overlooking the church. The meal was amazing, with salsa prepared fresh at the table to your specification of picante. Everything was fabulous.

We are staying at the Casa Oaxaca Inn, and arranged for a dinner res through the concierge a week in advance for our merry group of 7 at 7pm. It was a Friday night, the place was hopping, but the wait staff barely cared that we were there. Food was okay, not remarkable as we remembered from 10 years ago.... More

Duck tacos, ribeye... Lots of recognizable entrees for those who are not adverturous but there are other things like grasshoppers, ants, some sort of corn fungus for those who are. We loved our food and it was a beautiful restaurant. We didn't go there until our last night but next time we hope to dine there more!

We ate both lunch inside the restaurant on one day and ate dinner on the roof terrace another day. Both were excellent experiences. Great service, great variety of dishes, beautiful setting. Everyone loved it.

Tune features prominently here as it does in many Mexican restaurants. Unfortunately it had been frozen for too long and was chewy bearing little resemblance to the real thing. The salads and salsa was terrific and the service great too. I would go here again.

We stopped by Casa Oaxaca on our way home from dinner, we decided to stay for a few drinks. Casa Oaxaca is a lovely restaurant and we enjoyed a couple of hours on their outdoor terrace. They gave us a sample of their 'house' mezcal and it was very nice! We ended up ordering more. We would recommend going based... More

We really enjoyed this resto. We ate there twice once in the lounge area, which was fun but highly recommend eating outside on the upstairs balcony which has some great views and on a nice evening is a wonderful place to eat. Excellent cocktails and all the food we had was good

We were a little nervous at first when ordering, everything sounded so exotic and strange, but we experimented and we're delightfully surprised how delicate everything was despite the Ingredient descriptions. Beautiful and peaceful atmosphere inside and excellent customer service.

The two stars are for poor service that felt racially discriminatory. My husband and I came here for dinner and were seated on the rooftop on a very cold night. We noticed that every other table of diners was seated under heat lamps, so we asked for the lamp next to our table to be lighted, only to be told... More

This is a truly excellent restaurant. Creative, New Mexican/fusion cuisine - a leader in the exciting food movement that has grown up in Oaxaca. It is worth traveling to Mexico just to experience the group of restaurants that include Casa Oaxaca, El Distillado, los Danzantes, Origen and Biznaga. The food was made from the freshest ingredients, cooked perfectly in the... More
