A perfect place to look out over the Cathedral. Very good food, traditional Mexican and continental. Reservations a must for the balcony. Diverse menu with lamb, pork, chicken, and pastas. Good wine. A little expensive but worth it.

Love the view from the tables on the second floor. The food was better then average. They make the salsas right at your table. We were a group of 5. We thought the soups were better then the entrees. From a Canadian perspective this is good value for $$'s. That being said, I don't think it is the best kitchen... More

I had lunch dad Casa Oaxaca and I can honestly say, this was the best food I had during my trip. Handmade salsa, tlayudas, outstanding bean soup. I need to plan another trip to Oaxaca just to visit this place again!

You go to Casa Oaxaca for the total experience. The food is excellent, the service is very good, and the setting is impressive. My favorite time to go is mid afternoon, and I prefer the roof top patio with a nice view of the side of Santa Domingo. This is a good place to see the movers and shakers of... More

We made a reservation and so had a prime spot on their very large and atmospheric roof patio. The good was inventive but still based in Oaxacan traditions. The service was very professional. Pricey for Mexico, but still a very good value for what you get compared to similar restaurants in the U.S.

Not having a reservation ended us up downstairs rather than the much preferred second floor. However the dishes were different and the service was just right. Value for money. A bit more expensive than a much inferior restaurant

One of our favorite restaurants in Oaxaca. Great food and service. The rooftop terrace provided a great view of Santa Domingo.

Really good eats here. It is more about the experience. The salsa was made at our table and we chose how spicy we wanted it (delicious salsa) my boyfriend and got the 2 rabbit dishes, one with yellow mole (entre) the other with adobo sauce (appetizer) -equally as small. We ordered 2 sides of vegetables and a tamale with cheese... More

The good: Beautiful setting for alfresco dining. Food was well prepared and presented. Food quality for price was high. Fusion style cuisine - so the same as one one get in most any high quality restaurant in the world. The bad: The wait staff needs management. They can’t get their ducks in a row to have first step followed by... More
