This place is a little out of the way but worth the cheap taxi ride. When we arrived I was disappointed that the lasagna was not longer on the menu. The owner happened to be there and said if you want lasagna I will make it for you and he did. the best ever!! You need to realize the name... More

The first time I visited this Italian restaurant(used to locate at center) was 2 years ago and I felt the pizza with home made dough (klin baked) was very impressed! Although they changed the location far away from the center, their pizza still tasted amazing! Price range of pizza: MXN$120~260

I read about this place online and decided to try it for a change of pace from all the mole restaurants. The restaurant is located about 10 minutes by taxi from the center of town (it's a fairly long, indirect walk, so better to hail a cab for this place). It's located on the other side of town, in a... I had been told that the pizza here was fabulous. I had the margherita with cheese and prosciutto. It was very good, likely the best in Oaxaca, but I've only tried a couple other local pizza joints. There's no questioning the restaurant's popularity in spite of its priciness. I visited at 3:30 on a Friday afternoon and most of the... More

We ate late on a Sunday evening and ordered the prosciutto and cheese platter and their house wine to start with, Very tasty, although more capers would have been nice. One of us ordered the ravioli and I had the margarita pizza. The ravioli was very tasty but could of used some herbs in the ricotta. As for the pizza,... More

Mexita serves delicious Italian food in a relaxing, yet elegant environment. The service is excellent. We were served an amuse bouche of bruschetta. The melon and prosciutto was very good. They make the mozzarella in house and is served with delicious bread. Pasta courses were well prepared.

We came in for a late lunch, and everything was outrageously delicious! We had cannelloni and a margherita pizza. The owner is really engaged in every aspect of the restaurant, and is also really nice! We may just come back during our short stay in Oaxaca.

This review is long overdue for my wife and I have been patrons of Mexita for years. My wife and I are in the hospitality business with 3 B&B's we run with our family as well as several apartments in downtown Oaxaca. Mexita is always on the top of the list of places to eat when speaking with our new... More

A group of us went here for a meal on our final night in Oaxaca, and to celebrate the birthday of one of our group. The restaurant has a great ambience, and we had about four pizzas between us. The pizzas were great, and the desserts we had (Tiramisu, Profiteroles, and Red Berry Cake) were also very good. Prices are... More
