This restaurant is nothing fancy. It's tucked away behind a convenience store, a Domino's pizza, & their own local take out store. But once you transverse the small pathway between the buildings, you find a pleasant surprise. Steps lead down to a romantically lit little jewel just steps away from the lagoon water. You kind of scratch your head &... More

Look closely or you'll miss it! Located on the quiet lagoon side of the hotel strip, not far from Kukulcan Mall area. Authentic feel and wait staff who were eager to serve us with a smile. Try the coconut shrimp or the catch of the day - you won't be disappointed. Inexpensive and fun!

After a week at an all-inclusive with average American food, we went off site to grab lunch. What a little gem. From the front, it looks like a fast food restaurant but in the back what a quaint Mexican scene. Finally felt like we were in Mexico instead of the USA. Had a great margarita served atop the servers head.... More

This place is absolutely perfect! The atmosphere is beautiful, right on the water. The food was delicious. I had the seafood soup and coconut shrimp & both were amazing! The service was excellent too.

We just happened upon this restaurant for dinner and while the service was good, the food was bad. My husband ordered three different kinds of tacos and they were all bland and the fried fish was a soggy mess. I ordered a whole fish and it was overcooked and tasteless. When they saw that my husband hardly touched his plate... More

After walking down an alley between stores you come upon this oasis! Right on the water and delicious food! Great drinks, great eats and great little atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the strip. Worth going to for dinner if you're staying in the hotel zone. Enjoy!

After reading reviews on El Fish Fritanga, I thought we'd give it a try and enjoy lunch on the marina. The problem is there is no view. All you can see are these huge boats blocking everything else. Basically, we spent our lunch looking at the side of a boat since it was sitting high in the water. The food... More

Lovely atmosphere, did not know what to expect when we pulled up. Tried the shark appetizer which was very good. Husband had whole fried snapper and it was a little dry. I had coconut shrimp and it was very good. Complimentary chips and salsa with dinner.

We visited twice during our time in Cancun- first for a couple of quick tacos and again for dinner. The setting is very nice- tables on the sand and pleasant evening lighting. The fish and shrimp tacos were good and reasonably priced. The dinner- coconut shrimp (lightly battered- almost tempura style) and fiesta shrimp were very good but my husband's... More
