Great meal. I had the fish ceviche (which was in a pico de gallo salsa), the chicken mole and a margarita (those margaritas are lethal, one and you're done!). The mole was the highlight of the meal and was excellent. Good and friendly service; central location.

Choza has been around a long time and does a great job on service and quality for a nice price. Close to the square with a nicely decorated decor.

The restaurant is about a 5 minute walk from the cruise ship dock (after walking through the mall the cruise ships funnel you through). When you turn into the restaurant, the cracked concrete on the sidewalks and run down homes suddenly melt away as you're seated next to a waterfall on one wall, a perfectly decorated public area with palm... We went to La Choza in 2010, remembered we loved it but couldn't remember the name. Yesterday we went exploring and the area looked familiar. Found it and decided that we were coming back for dinner. You know it's a good place when you see locals come in on Sunday night to sirens time with their family. Food and service... More

The food was adequate but nothing special we will try another restaurant next time. The best dish was the grilled chicken. The seafood dishes lacked flavor.

It's easy to realize why you see tourists in a "for locals" restaurants. They have a sauce with secret ingredients. Try it with totopos. Order agua de Jamaica. It's a fresh boiled flower. And any of recommendation from the captain. But don't be shy to ask costumers what are they trying, they will like to share you their opinion. Here... More

This place was recommended by a local and we were not disappointed. Excellent food and value! My families favorite place we ate while there on vacation.

Great food and the ceviche was exactly what I was looking for. It was big enough to feed two of us and we planned to order entrees but we're full from just the ceviche! The avocado pie is to die for.. dont skip out on it! You won't find it anywhere else. Drinks were a bit strong but they got... More

We are from Southern AZ and ate used to Mexican Food. The choices around the port were a little Americanized for our tastes so I cobbled together my Spanish to ask a vendor for a restaurant locals would eat at. It was La Choza. I had the best chili relleno I have ever had and my husband had a most... More
