My 5th trip to Cozumel and I finally stumbled across La Casita de Indio. So glad we did! Indio is a fantastic guy who genuinely loves what he does and it comes through in his food. We asked that he surprise us with breakfast and lobster breakfast burritos arrived! Mouth watering food, mango margaritas (aka Mexican milkshakes!), fantastic service and.....you... More

Recently I was in Cozumel, Mexico for a 9 day vacation with my wife and some friends. Having lived in California I was all about trying to find something that seemed authentic. Perhaps this is just a cliche' for travelers; perhaps even more so in a place like Cozumel, where tourism is a high percentage of their income. We had... More

This was hands down the best authentic Mexican food I've ever had in Cozumel. I have visited Cozumel 4 times and Indio has far better food than even the upscale tourist restaurants. It was a rainy day and we were only in town for the day on a cruise, and we were just walking by hungry. Indio was there cooking... More

Was recently in Cozumel and came across La Casita de Indio. Indio the owner/chef is just a fun and great guy all around. We wanted seafood for dinner and particularly Conch and after we were waffling a while about what we wanted exactly Indio said he would put a meal together for us that was that we would like. He... I came to Cozumel to celebrate my 30th birthday with 6 friends. We went into town to find a local authentic Mexican restaurant for my b-day dinner, and stumbled upon Las Casita De Indio. AMAZING! The food was priced well, the fish was super fresh and cooked to perfection. This is a family run restaurant and we enjoyed meeting them... More

Stopped in here only because conch was listed on the sidewalk sign, what a great meal. The chef / owner takes great pride in his cooking and is incredibly talented. You get authentic local food with very fresh ingredients, seafood direct from the local fishermen daily. The prices are incredibly reasonable. I was so happy here that I made a... More

From many recommendations of both locals and visitors to La Casita de Indio, I knew we had to eat here. From the second we were welcomed, we felt like family. I was celebrating my best friends 30th birthday and knew we wanted to have a unforgettable experience, and we got exactly that. An all around family business, son serving us... More

After reading some of the reviews I decided to try this place out bc I was looking for some more authentic Mexican food off the beaten path at a good price. While the prices are good my wife and I were both disappointed with the taste of the food. The pico de gallo and guacamole were good. I think I... More

In port and looking for something a little more authentic than the first restaurants we encountered, we happened upon Indio. We enjoyed the food and the friendly, attentive service. It was quiet and sincere, and it was fun to read the reviews written in marker on the walls from people all over the world, and then write one yourself on... More

We wandered to this little spot a couple times for lunch. Loved the small dining and open air grill, plus the food was really great. We had tortas, tacos al pastor, and grouper on separate occasions. We were never disappointed. Their prices are also incredibly cheap. The service was also a highlight, incredibly friendly people and the chef stopped by... More
