Went there our last night on the island and I liked the grouper in green sauce. The taquitos my wife had were bland and had chicken in them. The beef on the mexican plate was good but stand alone. Not quite what we are used to in states.

Grouper was in no way anything other than Basa or Tilapia. Mushy and expensive. Never going back.. Been going there on and off for over 15 yrs. Done.....

A must stop. Great food. Hands on service by Fredy. We really enjoyed our meal, everything was outstanding. Would have gave it five stars except the oil for our tomatoes and cucumber salad was spoiled. Now fredy fixed it a.s.a.p but it's something that just shouldn't happen. With that said we will be back, it was enjoyable and the location... More

We were told this would be a nice place to dine by our waiter on the beach and it was a great call. My wife had their famous pork chop and all the great reviews were spot on. Not something you'd expect to have in Mexico but top quality. I did a kabob of sorts and the chicken was melt... More

Fredy's is a must when visiting Isla Mujeres! I have never had such a thick, juicy pork chop in my life. It is seasoned perfectly and so tender it's as if your eating a filet mignon. My husband had grouper in the white wine sauce which was also magnificent but the pork chop is definitely what to visit Fredy's for... More

We went to Fredy's tonight to taste the pork chop we had been hearing about. So tender and delicious. Thick cut. Great seasonings. Margaritas that rival Soggy Peso. Great little place on Hildago for people watching. Make it at least one night you are here!

Headed to Fredy's on New Year's Eve to start the downtown festivities with a pork chop. Was heavily seasoned and not quite as juicy as I remember from previous visits. Still tasty, but you never quite know what to expect from Fredy. Some visits and meals are absolutely unbelievable. Others are average. Always worth rolling the dice. The NYE menu... More

We stumbled on Fredy's - it's on the far north part of Hildago- when we ran out of energy to keep searching for a dinner spot. The fish is super fresh - we had guacamole and pico de gallo to start, followed by grilled grouper in a wine butter garlic sauce which was out of this world. The salad with... More

Well I have been wanting to have dinner here for a while and finally did! Had the pork chop which was very good! Fredy waited on us, we had one pork chop dinner, one shrimp dinner, 2 salads, 2 glasses of wine and one bottled water $652 Pesos FYI. Loved it and would go again!!

Good mexican food and cold drinks. The margarita was respectable. Service was excellent and friendly!
