I always end up eating here several times on a trip. With the whole family, it was a great meal to buy, take to the beach and split up picnic style for everyone. The Rosticeria is the reason why I always travel with tupperware now, because this makes a great snack to save for later too.

We all agree, this is by far the best chicken we´ve ever had. My husband, myself, and our 5 yr old all LOVED it. My little man said he´s not going to have any more chicken in his life unless it comes from this place! We ordered twice while we were on the island because it was SO good. We... More

Simple and delicious! I could eat here every day. I got a half chicken. It was too much. I would have been fine with a 1/4. Still finished it though. Couldn't stop eating it!

The original location, the second place on Hidalgo uses the same perfected technique operated by the founder's "suegra" (mother-in-law). We always get two or three chickens, artfully snipped into segments, from our old friend on Guerrero who has been dazzling us with his product and sides for over a decade. One of "old Isla's" treasures.

Rosticeria Yucatan chicken is good Yucatan chicken! Look out for the woman-on-the-wall as you walk along the street - when you see her, the Rosticeria's a small place tucked in amongst the others on the opposite side. Beers are cold too, and it's all reasonably priced...

We ran over & got in 2 minutes before closing time: proprietor could not have been more kind & accommodating. Perfectly cooked bird with sides for a terrific price. Excellent value choice for take-out.

After a tough day of fun on the beach we popped in here and ordered a roast chicken to go. Chicken was delicious as were all the sides that came with it. Very reasonably priced and we had eats leftover for the next day.

Priced reasonably, and was moist and good. Mostly all take out from what I could see. comes with rice and beans, and some really hot sauces (packaged separately). Was an easy dinner to bring home to the family and was enjoyed by all. The guys cuts it up into pieces with kitchen shears for you and bags it up nicely.

This is one of my favorite places for lunch on Isla. The chicken is so tasty and the sides (beans and pickled onions) are great too. You can tell all items are handmade with love. I will continue to come back here on all future visits to Isla.
