My husband wanted lobster. After going to a restaurant that we got lobster last year and finding out the price he skipped it! $90 for a large tail! He ended up ordering a tail at Rubens and it was amazing and very reasonable! Very happy...More

We've been stopping in for the last three years for breakfast. Everything has always been great and unbelievably inexpensive. A great breakfast for two can be had for $200 - $300 pesos (including a cocktail). Love it!

We went here for breakfast and were so delighted that we came for dinner again. Everything was perfect! Best burrito ever! Huevos divorciados absolutely delicious. The spicy salsa is awesome. Cheap prices - especially for Isla Mujeres. Great WiFi

Great food and very friendly vibe...they take great care of you here. Food is also terrific. Small place so don't come when I'm in town so I can get a seat..I eat here a few times a week..Luv it

I like little places like this. I go in with modest expectations and I love it when the food exceeds them. Ambiance is modest, and homey. Service pretty quick. Food quality was impressive. Would go again for sure.

We ate at Rubens 2 or 3 times a week during our 2 month stay on Isla. The staff were always wonderful even when the restaurant was at full capacity.The food is excellent, I personally loved the tostada supremas! I very highly recommend trying this...More

We visited because this restaurant was getting such good reviews. Not sure if they were having an off day, but the food was hopelessly drab and flavorless.
An absolute must...most wonderful meal and friendly folks on Isla. Very filling breakfast and/or lunch and very affordable. When you eat at Ruben's, you are also supporting a very worthy cause..kids!
