we went there after reading trip advisor comments... not a good choice. We didn't like food, had the impression they want to prepare something refineted but without succeding. We would prefere an easy classic messican cousin. Despite all of that the day after we both had intestinal disorder! the night we went was raingng and we were the only ones... More

We had a buffet style dinner which was all traditional Yucatecan food - lime soup, mole, rice, salad etc. The food was good, but the real reason for eating here is the experience. The walls are painted bright pink, there are lots of indoor green plants making it feel exotic, and randomly there was a rabbit (I assume the owner's... More

After passing this little place several times on our wanderings through the neighborhood, we finally decided to stop in for dinnner our last night in Merida. We were the only party there and there was one rather sullen waiter who served us. However, the ambiance was lovely, the music lovelier and food was delicious. We are vegetarian and found much... We keep going back to Frida's when the opportunity permits. Whether or not the restaurant is busy, the service is always friendly but lacking. However, the food is always wonderful. We particularly enjoy the Chile en nogada which is not regularly found on other restaurant menus. The restaurant is cozy and the back ceiling is often open to the elements... More

We ate here twice during our 7 days in Merida. The food was very good - in particular the house specialty Chile Engada (sorry i dont recall the exact name but its the stuffed chile special) was outstanding. Both nights the place was busy and the single waiter was running but we still got service as we needed it (... More

After reading all the reviews, we went there with relatively high expectations. Not only it took them 20 min to take an order, they also forgot several times what we ordered. The food was ok, not bad but nothing exceptional either. The service was the slowest and the most condescending we've seen in Mexico. Moreover, they included a 15% tip... More

We dined there on 2/14/2011 after reading "rave" reviews....we were really disappointed. Our There was one server for all 15 tables...he was borderline rude & rushed. Duck tacos and cheese apps were good - My husband ordered a salad. Waiter brought the wrong salad. Once we were able to flag him down and notify him of this, he argued with... More

This small restaurant is worth it. The ambiance is great the service perfect and the food dreamy plus the varied wine selection was of quality. We had two dinners there and want others to try this sweet location. The resident rabbit was a little disconcerting, otherwise a great place.

Second time around in Merida and we had to have some Chilies en Nogada! Well, we arrived a little later in the evening and as usual, the service was slow, very slow. We ordered several things on the menu to share and had drinks. The food and the atmosphere were great. The service however, was another story. When we were... More
