This cafe is a somewhat small, pleasant place to have a light lunch. There is minimal English available, but no one minds if you muddle your way through in English and Spanish. The menu itself IS English on one side. During our two weeks, we...More

We had lunch of today's special which is ratatouli. It turned out to be a delicious set meal with an apertizer, a main course of ratatouli with slices of beef on the side, a dessert of Kiwi clafoutis. It also came with bread. Delicious.

Great selection of sandwiches (variety of french cheeses), good coffee and charming service. They even have a little literature corner, where you can exchange books and magazines.

This cafe is centrally located with a lovely garden - that is too hot in the hottest time in Merida! The owner is so pleasant, helpful, and the food great. His brother, located a bit further out, makes all the croissants, bread, etc., so everything...More

Description
It is owned by a french man who wanted to set a "european" style cafe. He has excellent selection of imported cheese as well as french wine . They make their own quiche and a "Menu of the day" as well as home made deserts. It is a cosy cafe close to the Paseo Montejo and Archeological Museum. It is a good option for vegetarians as well, as they have great salads and many will enjoy a break from the delicious, but heavy, yucatecan cuisine.
