Usual Starbucks experience, which is what you want when you are traveling. Nice environment in an old colonial style building on the Paseo

This Starbucks is beautiful and is in an excellent location in the middle of the main avenue. The service is always is exceptional. Will come back again.
This is an expensive place to have a coffee and pastry. But if you need a place to meet someone and relax, check it out. I was completely satisfied with the service
The staff was happy and smiling. They were really kind to me. My cup of chocolate was exceptional as well. El personal estaba feliz y sonriente. Fueron muy amables conmigo. Mi taza de chocolate también fue excepcional.
So happy to find a Starbucks in Merida! Great staff, bright, clean and comfortable store. And BONUS the drinks were the same as they were at home. The staff all spoke English and the service was great.
Way above-average mixed coffee drinks. Ultra-fresh pastries. Absolutely beautiful storefront. Clean, bright, beautiful interior. This Starbucks is in an old colonial-era house. Not to be missed.
My first time in Starbucks anywhere, my expectations were low and still I was disappointed. Firstly there is no table service you have to line up to place your order. The guy was not listening or not concentrating and I had to repeat my order...3 times. He wrote out 2 small pieces of paper, gave one to the barista and another to a guy to get my muffin. The coffee, a simple cafe latte, was insipid and tasteless and served in PAPER CUPS! The whole experience was so disappointing and cost 3 times what I would pay in a normal mexican cafe for good Veracruz coffee and a fresh tasty muffin, not mass produced dry rubbish. Why would anyone come here? If you like real coffee, run don't walk away from here.More
everything is good from coffe, drinks and snacks has valet parking.at night have beautiful view of it
It was refreshing to visit Starbucks but I really wanted to buy a Merida Mug. I had to go to the other one next door to the Gran Chapur Mall to get one!
This Starbucks is located in a lovely spot on Paseo de Montejo and you can sit outside (under shaded terraces) or inside. It's bright, clean, tastefully decorated and a great respite from the bustle of town. I don't normally pause at a chain restaurant when...I travel, but in the heat of Merida I found myself stopping for air-conditioning and piped classical music and nice strong coffee. It was a great escape and a good place to read when the heat or bustle got too much for me. No one seems to mind if you hunker in for an hour or two, so it can be very relaxing if you need it, and it's a short walk to some of the museums and galleries.More
A Starbucks is a Starbucks, no matter where it is located. The coffee is over-priced, cup size names very confusing and I typically find the blend to have a burnt taste.
When isn't Starbucks reliable and good for when you really need a coffee for the long drive ahead. I love the frappacino and hubby got the grande of the strongest blend.
Since it had been awhile, I decided it was time for another rare visit to Stlarbucks. It will be a long time before I do that again. Nothing has changed. It all starts in a small room crowded with customers and difficult to find any...line or other order in the area. Then a young man rather lacking in personality seems to be bored in taking your order. And even more offended if you ask him questions! But finally got the order placed. Then on to the next crowded counter to receive your order. This is chaotic also but finally get our order and go out to the patio area. We went to the lower patio where they have about 6 tables. Out of these, 5 had not been cleaned recently. . One was clean enough, once we brushed the chairs off. I really expect more when I pay high prices for unimpressive beverages, which I had to order and carry to a dirty table. And all served in paper or plastic cups. Merida has many fine coffee establishments. This is not one of them. My last Starbucks review!More
Everything as familiar as an American Starbucks - the wi-fi, coffee, treats, tables filled with laptops, or groups of friends laughing. However, this is one Starbucks that has a slightly different vibe. Located on Paseo de Montejo and within walking distance to The Hyatt and...the Fiesta Americana, this coffee shop stands majestic and welcomes you in. There is flavor to the historic building Starbucks is housed in, making it my personal favorite Starbucks in the world. This Starbucks took on the character of Mérida, capturing the art and the soul of the people. The clean lines and rush of American Starbucks was not found here. The coffee artists friendly and happy, as if you are speaking with a bartender on the beach of a remote island that is just happy to be. This location portrayed a sophistication and a sense of stillness. It was a place to stop and smell the roses (or coffee). The reliability of a traditional Starbucks eased me into my first visit in this foreign city to me, however the inviting atmosphere made me want to come back.. This is a Starbucks you can afford... at half the price of a Chicago Starbucks drink of choice, you are welcome to indulge in that piece of apple pie (Yes, this Starbucks serves apple pie). With a dream grand staircase, and hidden library, it is worth at least one visit. If you are visiting Mérida anytime soon, have a cup of joe and a slice of apple pie for me. I wouldn't go for a Starbucks coffee again while in here given that there are many other coffee places around. It is almost the same elsewhere in the US, Canada or at airport elsewhere...so...
