Sorry but this place is living on ancient history. Ice cream is just so so. Service is lackluster and without passion. And for 40 pesos in a Styrofoam cup, poor environment. So say no and look for other locals for ice cream.

A trip to Merida is not complete without stopping by Helados Colon for some special treat. Helados Colon is a Merida icon and well worth the visit.

Stopped off for a break on a hot afternoon for a cool and delicious treat. Great location on the Paseo to enjoy some ice cream, sit in the shade and watch the people walk by

Our guide had pointed this place out to us, so we headed there for dessert after dinner. The place was jumping, and it was a little hard to figure out how to order. We had thought they had ice cream, but it appeared to be all sherbets. We finally managed to order a guanabana (soursop) sherbert, which was unusual and... More

Go for the coco helado! Delicious!! It's a classic in Merida of more than 100 years old, not to be missed.

This is laike a piece of the paradise. The milky and watery ice creams are served fast, before they melt on the hot weather. Crowded and busy place. You can see pass the Yuicatan life here. Also Explore some of the desserts and pastries available. Worthless to know the Yucatan name. All they are great!

A must if you genuinely want to taste the local culture. Exotic fruits ice cream and regional sweets are served at the sidewalk of Paseo Montejo. Don't miss it.

Fancy ice cream and pastry place that's a little bit pricey (but it's still cheap enough- it's Mexico). We stopped for ice cream on our last night in town. It has a big patio looking out onto the beautiful boulevard with musicians performing for tips. My son hated his banana ice cream (it was probably a sorbet but I didn't... More
