The food was good and the place under staffed but what ruined my dinner was the payment. They didn't take cards but said there was an ATM machine in front. We went there and retrieved the sufficient amout as we estimated and some extra. But when the bill arrives they paid only 17 pesos to the dollar (official 20,40) That... More

When we got there at 8.15pm we were told that there was a 45 minute wait but we then noticed a table in front on which some people were eating and others waiting for tables. We asked if we could eat there and then got seated immediately. Excellent meat was the highlight of the meal although the mixed Argentinian sampler... More

We tried to get a table at 8:30 pm. and it took 90 minutes before we were seated. The girl at the front taking reservations was very good in the way she handled the crowd. It is a busy place and a popular place for the younger generation. The Maya cocktail was unique and was well balanced. The tendeloin meat... More

We loved this place so much, it was my favourite meal in Tulum! A great atmosphere and the steak and wine were delicious!

Our first night in Tulum and the road was packed with cars, bikes, taxis. Parking is limited and mostly private . Suddenly before us is great looking restaurant and it has a parking lot. Problem solved! I had steak and shrimp skewers with roasted stuffed tomato on a bed of mashed potatoes. My daughter had the calamari salad with avocado... More

Expected a lot from previous reviews, but in reality cannot rave about this restaurant , it was okay but not worth queuing for. General staff apathy was a big issue. Perhaps more help in advising customers on menu would be beneficial

It is very busy for dinner service. Tonight we were told 30 to 40 minute wait. After 55 minutes, we left with no meal when my patience wore out. They do not take reservations. Apart from that experience we have had 3 meals at this location: breakfast, lunch and dinner. At times the quality of the food and service justified... More

That about says it. The food was really delicious. The smoothies are amazing. You won't be disappointed in the food. Breakfast cost us about $48USD. Is this Hawaii or something? Would love to come back but probably won't.

Thank Melissa A

Located across the beach road from Nueva Vida is Casa Banana Steakhouse, a Tulum dining hot spot. Serving up classic Argentinian style cuisine, the food here is simple, fresh and delicious. For breakfast each morning enjoy made to order coffee, homemade banana bread, and pineapple coconut jam. At night the restraurant gets busy and comes alive with it’s outdoor grill, known as “parilla,” and dishes are cooked over the open fire for all to see. The menu favorites include grilled to perfection steak, fresh caught fish, impressive salads, and a thoughtfully selected wine list. Don’t forget to try the handshaken icy margaritas, too.Open daily breakfast, lunch and dinner. We provide beach service for all guests of the hotel.
