We were staying in a Chateau nearby and they were unable to feed us because of a function so after some research we decided to give this restaurant a try and wow what an amazing evening. We were warmly greeted on arrival and after perusing the menu decided to take a chance with the €40 three course surprise menu! All... More

The restaurant setting is very smart and quite cosy. The food here has been wonderful in the past but the meat sauces were overwhelming and both the lamb and the beef dishes were tough. The desert, at 15€, was a thin slice of pastry covered by, perhaps, a rhubarb glaze and then decorated with raspberries and cream. The meal was... More

I like the Filedo bistro section - checking the weekly changing menu to see if friend & I fancy it. Today the starter of succulent baby mussels was even better than the fine-flavoured duck terrine. Close contest for mains between the tarragon fish & the thyme chicken skewer. Lovely fresh herbs and veg - but if you crave carbs it... More

I have stayed here many times in the last 10+ years and have always been blown away by the quality and beautiful presentation of the food. The set menu at about €40 is not cheap but very reasonable for such a special meal. The choice is not extensive but as everything is delicious you will not be disappointed. As it... More

Came and stayed more than 15 years ago. Food was fab then and Monsieur Martin the younger has continued in his family's tradition of their passion with food. The foie gras, turbot and chocolate soufflé were all top notch. The 2012 bottle of St Aubin perfect. €240 for 2 of us was fair. Returning in 3 weeks on our way... More

This was the Filedo Bistronomie, alongside the main restaurant. The 2-choice 3-course menu (can have just 2 courses) on its little blackboard was a lovely light but deliciously satisfying lunch. I chose chicken terrine made with blond sultanas + a fruit compote, interesting fish fillet (sebaste, redfish, a relatively rare species) with veg & a nice nage, & strawberry shortcake... More

This is a fabulous little restaurant with rooms just south of Boulogne. It has been in the same family for 20 years, but has been recently updated to provide lovely cosy rooms with good bathrooms and a stylish restaurant in contemporary soothing tones. This is what you want from a family run restaurant and hotel, and more. The rooms aren't... More
