The pubs a bit worn and tatty round the edges and the service is average....... But the food is well presented tasty and value for money. They have an excellent array of offer nights and a cheap lunchtime menu. Will call agin to take advantage of the offers. A good pub for an informal lunch or a tea time treat.... More

We have been staying at fell view in Longbridge and decided to have tea. Was very pleasantly surprised. I had sirloin which was cooked to perfection and my partner had chicken and gammon pie which was delightful this is a place I would definitely recommend

After a recent taster of the Friday night curry and a visual of some burgers passing by, I was really excited to eat here. Sadly, I was left disappointed. The food was bland, pizzas under seasoned, fried food greasy and had to ask for everything: no sauces/condiments offered. Nothing in a party of 4 was great so will not be... More

We haven't been to the stags head since it changed hands and we were pleasantly surprised. From the smiley young lady behind the bar to the landlady serving us the staff were very pleasant. My husband had steak and opted to substitute fries with sweet potato fries - he was very pleased he did. I had the goosnargh chicken which... More

If you can't cook fish fingers and chips I don't hold out much hope for any other food here , fish fingers cooked to death chunky chips seemed to have been pre cooked then finished off in fryer were full of oil and not very tasty at all , paid in advance so didn't bother complaining before leaving , place... Wow, what a find. This place is the first stop using our Brit Stop manual. Only 40 mins drive from home but a million miles away. Food is amazing. Restaurant standard at very reasonable pub prices. Can't believe how friendly everyone was. Staff & customers alike. They were all lovely with our dog Oscar. We will definitely be back very... More

I have always found time to visit the Stags Head whenever I'm visiting Lancashire. I find the setting and food great. The last time I visited I bumped into some old friends and we talked about the old days and all the old "tales" every village seems to be unable to shake off. Suicides and deaths are normally the topic... More

On arrival the staff were welcoming..however the girl who served us was unsure of the specials and I had to explain that what I ordered was on the specials as she did not seem to know what I was talking about. The food itself was nice and of a good standard however we were not revisited to ask if we... More

Thank you for your comments and sorry the service let us down, we do have a restaurant area that is secluded from the main bar that is or should be totally table service, the areas around the bar are normally order at the Bar unless it is quite and the staff have time to come away and take orders, swearing... Just had lunch for 2. Brilliant value for money but more importantly great service and excellent food. Cask ales and service with a smile. Highly recommended.
