Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch at this traditional family run restaurant. It is very conveniently located in a beautiful old square in the town, close to the main entrance across the bridge and near the bottom of the path to the Citadel. We chose from...the "formule" menu, and both main plates and the desserts were excellent, and reasonably priced (less than €20 per person). Very friendly and helpful staff (including giving us directions for an amazing local car journey - Dalius Gorge and Col de Valberg - which we would otherwise have missed). Final tip - try the local "pression" beer - superb!More

Had hoped for a good vegetarian choice as per the description but that was a dissapointment. Chicken salad was fair. Service friendly, setting is very cozy.More

A delightful little place in a delightful little town. A perfect place to spend the afternoon and enjoy a nice lunch in a beautiful charming courtyard. The food is phenomenal and the service is very friendly. The vegetarian burger (they have real ones too) is...very tasty and the chips(fries) are perfect. Some people have complained about the lack of table service, but that is unnecessary feedback. Enjoy it for what it is. Atmospheric.More

Restaurant is in a lovely little square. It is a pity this place doesn't have table service as u spend a lot of time queuing wether its to order, pay or just ask for more water. My partner got a grilled panini double which was...huge and great value for money although the bread was a little on the chewy side. I got the special meat plate but it was more fries than meat or salad but the olive oil pate was good. Overall it was fine and maybe nicer had we ordered differently. Setting was gorgeous though.More

Self service restaurant, cheap, small choice, but good quality. Choose Menu du Jour. It takes a time to be served

We came to this cafe after seeing what it had on offer and the positive reviews on Tripadvisor. We had the three course lunch, which was made with surprising attention to detail for a cafe which is run by just one person. Its only downside...is that there is no table service, but I certainly would love to go again.More

As a part of a visit to this charming medieval town in a train trip north of Nice we lunched here on Septembr 9th. English speaking staff were helpful, the plat du jour was 13.50€ and the beer cold. Salad with various meats and cheese...was fine in the 34° heat and the desserts big! Good coffee too. Nice atmosphere with locals eating here, always a good sign. Recommended.More

Extremely tasty food and good prices keeping in mind its touristy location! If you sit outside there's no service but that only adds to the place's charm! Bon Appétit!

They have lots of tables near a nice fontain. You order your plate at the window and they call your number. Couldn't finished all I ordered. They have a good entree of different kind of cold meats of the region. Their Aïoli plate is excellent....Best part, have a Picon bière after your climb up the fortress at the top of the mountain!More

Visited Entreveaux and walking around this wonderful place came across this delightful cafe where we had lunch. You order your food at the window and they call your number when it is ready. There are plenty of tables around this charming courtyard. The food and...wine were superb. Two Plat du Jour and 50cl of rose wine came to 25.50 Euros. Excellent value. The young man serving was very helpful as we didn't understand all that was on the menu. Well, worth a visit.More

This review isn't about the quality of the food but simply about the cafe owner, and his appalling customer service skills. Ordered a pain Bagna, was told "None left it's 3pm" on the most unpleasant tone, as if I was utterly dumb not to anticipate...the fact. I keep cool and smile and ask him for a suggestion instead, nothing to propose; so I pick something else on the spot that also seemed nice earlier on the menu. I am being asked if I want some lettuce as a side. I guess it's that or something else and that's included since nothing else is explained. Later on I find out it's 3 euros extra for some salad on side I go back to the owner and said very politely it would have been nice to say that the salad was 3euros extra, he tells me "it's not the way it works in the house, and comes up with fallacious arguments", later on call me to announce me that he won't serve me. I am french and I am sad to say that this kind of people should not represent my country. You have to treat your customer with more empathy sir. Don't be a jerk.More

I got the burger "from here" and it was served in a ciabatta bun with tasty parsley sauce. The burger meat was nice and fresh too. We ate here before climbing up to the Citadel - it's probably best to demolish one of these delicious...burgers after coming back down from the castle though!More

Well don't worry here because they prepare them from scratch with superb local bread. The simple ones at 5.50 euros including a drink is great value, but as tends to be the case I wanted red wine and my wife a tomato in her sandwich....I see that the total bill was 12.30. your other reviewers have got this place absolutely right and it makes a change not to feel that you have been ripped off in this tourist stronghold.More
