My wife and I loved El Manantial! The location of the bar/restaurant is in the historic district of San Miguel but away from the central tourist areas which we appreciated very much. It seemed like it was a bit our secret though they always seem to be busy. We decided to sit at the bar both visits because it gave... More

Great food, great atmosphere. Want to try something new? The Ginger Margi's and the octopus ceviche were outstanding. Attentive service. Quickly became our local favorite.

The Tamarindo Margarita is amazing!! We read about how good it is, went to check it out, and it's true - amazing. We also tried the Mescalindo - the same but made with mescal instead of tequila. Better?? Not sure, but amazing nonetheless. Cute little bar.

We wandered in one afternoon, attracted by the swinging saloon doors. Inside we were rewardwd with a remarkable sight. A small cozy bar, walls adorned by wonderful murals, and great music. Ended up here once for lunch, once for dinner. Drinks are tasty and generous. Food is on the simple side, but everything is delicious. Pork tacos, shrimp and bacon... More

Just dropped in in earlly evening. Laid back, mainly expat with music to suit. Really hits the spot. Will become our local, I think.

The atmosphere is casual. Our party had the smoked fish tacos and octopus tacos. Very fresh and quality ingredients. Good prices.

This is a neat little place with a cozy atmosphere. The ginger margarita was terrific and the tuna tostada was exceptional. Service was friendly and top notch. Highly recommend this little gem.

Grab a michelada and some seafood snacks. Crudo, fish tacos, carpaccio...all very tasty! Nice spot for an afternoon siesta.

We drop it at at around 7 pm on a Wednesday night and the bar was completely full, which is usually a good sign, and it was. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The beer was cold and the seafood tortilla was very good at a reasonable cost. I definitely would try it again.

The fun starts when you enter through the swinging doors into what used to be a saloon. There is lots to read on the walls, but since it's all in Spanish, I couldn't understand it all very well. We really loved the food here. In particular, the ceviches and cocktails were excellent choices here. And, like a lot of places... More
