We came hoping to enjoy a good Mezcal Margarita and dinner and we were not disappointed. We had the ginger and mint margaritas and they were excellent. We also ordered the mixed vegetable plate which was excellent (zucchini, beet, and sweet potato) along with the sausage plate. Unfortunately, the two small sausages were dry. Although somewhat tasty they weren't what... More

Reservation is recommended, but you can often find a table even if not reserved. Delicious food, but you're not going for a belly - buster, right!

I was staying just around the corner from this place and passed it walking to downtown for days. Decided to give it a try. Ordered the whole octopus, jumbo shrimp and grilled vegetables. The shrimp and vegetables were very good. The octopus was only average. Service was good. Environment is simple and clean. Seating is for only about 30 people.

I stumbled upon La Mezcaleria with my sister and mother during our week-long stay in San Miguel. We came for the mezcal tasting flights and enjoyed the ambiance during our last stop after a long day. Delicious drinks with great service and friendly owner. We were especially lucky to run into Luca - the family poncho-wearing dog who was a... More

During our month long stay in SMA we quite often stopped at this small unpretentious restaurant just around the corner from where we lived. The ambiance was always good and lively, the service always friendly and efficient . The menu offered fresh and delicious food. We especially loved that there were plates you could share. Very often we enjoyed the... More

Good place to go with friends, because they have plenty of flavors to try, one good option is the "mezcal de la casa" that is mixed with fruits. Besides thats well located and with affordable prices.

Margaritas are amazing as is the wine selection. My husband enjoyed the mezcal selection as well. Great food. Loved the red snapper ceviche and the arugula salad. Would definitely come back!

Well, we had the mezcal and were surprised by the earthy taste. I had never had it before so was surprised. Don't think I'll go for the mezcal again! The service and atmosphere was good and pleasant.

While mostly tapas and a range of interesting drinks, you can eat enough for dinner and enjoy some unique food. They serve a nice variety of Mezcal, mixed cocktails, beer and non alcoholic drinks. The fried grasshopper as an appetizer served with orange and Oaxaca cheese and avocado ice cream for dessert were fantastic and recommended in a previous Tripadvisor... More

Description
This is a copy/paste on basic restaurant etiquette.

Children at a Restaurant

"If your children are dining with you, make sure they know how to behave in a restaurant. Not only does bad behaviour make your experience miserable, you are disrupting other people's meals. Teach your children how to be courteous and respectful of others before you take them to a restaurant. Consider the type of restaurant before bringing your children. Most family restaurants can accommodate toddlers. However, it's best to leave a small child with a sitter when you go to a bar or an upscale restaurant."

Alexander
