We received a warm welcome from Charlie who couldn't do enough for us and looked after us extremely well. The food was cooked perfectly, was very tasty and the generous portions were very good value for money
We have just moved our caravan to Chapel Hill and took a trip to Ingoldmells passing the Royal Oak on our way.
It is such a beautiful quaint place with a thatched roof that you really cannot miss it.
We decided to go out for...our anniversary on Saturday night and hoped we could get in for food as we hadn’t booked. We received a lovely warm welcome from Charlie on entering. He was so well spoken and professional and this continued throughout our visit. He assured us we would be welcome to dine there.
Our meals were beautiful- my husband had the seafood platter which was all cooked to perfection and I had the steak which was also cooked exactly as I had asked.
I was too full to finish my meal the steak was huge.
We were so impressed with how friendly everyone was there and on leaving we asked about having Sunday lunch there the next day. We were booked in without a problem.
On our visit the next day we were greeted by more lovely friendly staff and as it was a beautiful day we sat in the garden a while and had a drink. The garden was as beautiful as the pub - and all the drinks were brought out to the tables.
The pub really is elegantly decorated inside and we took it all in whilst we waited for our Sunday lunch- I chose beef my husband chose the pork. A beautifully presented Sunday roast was served and plenty of it. My only criticism was the beef was rather tough and the knife rather blunt but everything was very tasty including the home made yorkie puds with lots of tasty gravy.
I am sure this is our new go to place when we are at the caravan and we can’t wait to try the other tasty meals on offer. Thank you to all at the Royal Oak for such a warm welcome. We can’t wait to visit again.More
Dropped in on the way back from Skegness and I have to say what a gem the Royal Oak is. The pub itself is stunning, the personal service, food and drink were second to non. A place I would and will be recommending very highly...to family and friends. The hospitality and service is 5 starMore
Booked in for Sunday lunch for Father's Day. Our table of 4 ordered 2 x beef and 2 x turkey, a great roast with all the trimmings, very tasty and fresh. The staff were all really friendly and especially Charlie who had a great sense...of humour and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be returning and it made our day a really nice one. 5* all day long.More
Booked a table for 2 on a Saturday night. We were shown straight to our table by a friendly young man who made sure we were happy with the Covid restrictions and had log onto the NHS website. Drinks came shortly after ordering them and...my starter of Calamari rings was the start of some lovely food. Wife had steak and I had fish & chips, both meals were just the right size and full of flavour. Well done to all the team.More
Cannot recommend enough! We stopped here as all the food places at out holiday park were full and it was so worth it! Looked quiet from the outside but food was superb and fresh, the young guy serving was so friendly and attentive! A must...visit if you are in the area!More
Staying in the area at Tattershall lakes. After reading reviews we tried here. We all had roast beef sunday dinner. Outstanding! Everyone enjoyed their meals. Place is very clean and cracking staff. We will definitely be back when in the area. Highly recommended!
We called on the off chance on a Sunday dinner and although full they allowed us to sit in the garden space for food.
Between the 6 of us we had soup (delicious although a small portion but what do you want from a starter)....The gammon was nice but just a little bit too salty on one edge. We also had the pulled pork burger which went down a treat and the buttermilk chicken which was also beautiful.
The lady and gentleman who ran it was more than welcoming and the whole place had a lovely feel about it.
Next time we’re in the area we’re going to pre-book as the Sunday lunches looked lush!More
