I highly recommend this place. It may not be very cheap compared to regular local bakeries but the quality of their products make the investment worth it. They have the best cinnamon rolls I've ever tasted and a great variety of artisan breads that are healthy and tasty at the same time and reminds me the ones you can see... More

A great place to stop by for a special bread to bring as a host gift or enjoy over the weekend. The service is always friendly and they have great little jams and honeys too! Beware, their sticky cinnamon rolls are super good!

Artemesia is a bakery located in San Pedro, behind the University of Costa Rica. It has a cult following and you will understand why. They make extremely well prepared bread, it is thick, full of flavor and fresh. There are different types of bread depending on the moment, the best one is reddish and features a bit of chili pepper... More

After 3 years it is one of my regular stops. I am guilty of addicting a number of friends and for dinner parties instead of wine I bring treats from Artemesia.

We stumbled upon this bakery while exploring the neighborhood surrounding the University of Costa Rica in San Pedro.
