Arrived early for evening opening as we hadn't booked. Sat at lovely window table looking out to sea. Lovely meal, all freshly cooked. Got busy with lots of bookings. Some were turned away who hadn't booked. Obviously popular with locals. Recommend and would return on...More

Despite being almost fully booked the friendly staff found us a dinner slot for 4 people on a very busy Saturday evening. And we weren't disappointed as the food was delicious though, as might be expected on such a busy night, the place was a...More

Lovely ambience and view out to the firth. Staff efficient and friendly. Food slightly fusion, Scottish / Indian. Delicious scallops and my friend enjoyed Indian prawns. Main courses lovely as well, especially my husbands stuffed rolled pork. Slightly disappointed with my bavette steak as the...More

We turned up early, on spec, having driven 400 + miles and having read about the bistro online that afternoon. They were able to give us a table for a long-enough time for us to enjoy the pan fried cod with mustard sauce and the...More

They were meant to close at 3pm but stayed open to serve us an amazing lunch - such delicious combination of flavours! We'll be back but will try not to keep them open after hours next time!

We went for dinner here tonight as we did not fancy a pub dinner. I had spinach and smoked cheese soup as an experiment. The combination of tastes worked very well and I had made a great choice. My wife had whitebait fried in bread...More

We came as a group and the welcome was not very warm: they took ages to serve us and really made us feel we were disturbing them. We only wanted morning coffee, can that be so difficult to serve? A smile would have helped too.

I left my dog in the accommodation, he is a Lab and just sleeps, but didn't see any dogs. The Cromarty Hotel, a drive away, does allow dogs and food and beers are good, but not the same standard as Crofters. Crofters is a... More
