We enjoyed a special celebratory dinner at La Azotea. The views are fantastic, we arrived just in time for sunset while having cocktails prior to being seated overlooking the floodlit cathedral. The menu is pretty much standard "international" fare, but nicely presented and as others have pointed out, not cheap, but well worth it for the whole experience which for... More

We have been to this restaurant some years ago, and we came back because it is a nice place, with a great view and food. Unfortunately, this time, even though the food tasted great, 3 people (out of 4) got sick during the night (we had dinner). If it wouldn't be for this matter, this restaurant would get a 5.

I went to catch the illumination of the Cathedral 8:45 p.m. or so. The view is great, but most of the outdoor seats are somewhat obstructed by the trees in the plaza. We had wine, taquitos, desserts, and coffee----it started to get pretty chilly, so a sweater or shawl is a good idea. Everything we ordered + the vibe were... More

Excellent food, service and view? Good wine list and wonderful beef carpaccio. No complaints at all and we are picky!

The cuisine at this hotel y phenomenal. Typical morelian dishes add well as international favorites. I have been here several times and the consistency of the food products is what keeps me coming back. You can view the towers of the Cathedral and, of you are lucky, some nights they have fireworks.

We had a lovely meal at this restaurant and had a great view for the sound and light show on the Cathedral on last Saturday. I'd say the food was amazing, the escamoles the best I've ever had but the service although polite and friendly was agonizingly slow. Perhaps it's very busy that time of the evening due to the... The meal was delicious, a modern twist to Mexican cuisine. The service was very good and the amazing view of the cathedral added to the experience.

If you want to have lunch or dinner in Morelia at the top end of the typical traveler's budget, I recommend La Azotea. We dined at La Azotea twice, both for a mid-afternoon lunch (I believe the same menu is used in the evening). At both visits, the food and service were excellent. Views of the cathedral/Madero are fantastic. Bar,... More
