We had breakfast at this restaurant, which is part of a boutique hotel, with direct access from the street. We ordered from a very interesting menu: chilaquiles, corn cake, different kinds of eggs, green juice, and coffee. 640 Mexican pesos for the four of us! Fantastic.

We asked for the mole tasting, a dish with 4 different types of this delicious mexican food (some say its the mexican curry). I think its the way to go since all are very different from one another, and there´s something for every taste. Personally I think the best one is the mole negro de la abuela. The chalupas are... We visited Casareyna for a meal looking for traditional Mexican food. They served an excellent "mole poblano", very good specially for those who doesn't like "picante" Mexican food, since it preserve the spicy flavour. The "chalupitas" and the "perejil frito" are our suggestions for entrée. But save your appetite for the desserts.

Friends, I really appreciate the Trip Advisor community that has led me to some of the best restaurants in the world. I looked at the restaurant rankings in Puebla and picked #2, The Casareyna. The interior is really lovely. Very authentic and facing a quiet street. Very pretty ambience. I ordered a spaghetti with shrimp and pulpo and my husband... More

This is the restaurant of one of the top end hotels in Puebla, just outside the historic center district. The hotel looks great but we only went for the restaurant. It was busy, busy, busy. Do make a reservations. Upscale locals adorn the place, in expensive clothes, perfect hairdos and flashy jewelry. What the large restaurant lacks due to its... More

We had a large group dinner here at the end of a work trip. We had about 60 guests. The restaurant put on a buffet for us, which was delicious. The service was good and the private room we were in was modern and lovely. We enjoyed it very much.

I gave three stars because of the wait-staff. We stayed at this hotel and had our breakfast included with our room. The included breakfast was a choice of teas and very weak coffee, a choice of 4 very large juices which were very good every morning, 4 slices of what they say is home-made baked breakfast sweet bread, but my... I had dinner and breakfast in Casareyna and in both occasions I enjoyed the food very much, I tried Mode Blanco and it was very good. The restaurant is open so it can be a little chilly. Service is sufficient but could improve.

The restaurant is a very nice place. The food is delicious and typical from Puebla. From mole to Chiles en nogada (during the summer). You must reserve with at least 24 hours of anticipation, specially on weekends. Of course, the hotel is most famous thanks to the restaurant, but you can also stay there. It's an hotel boutique.
