About
Built in 1271, The Tinners Arms has been at the heart of village life in Zennor for over 700 years. Originally built to accommodate the masons who constructed St Senara’s Church, famous for its mermaid, you’ll find little has changed over the years. Modern life slips away as you step inside. Join a friendly mix of regulars, visitors, families and walkers (often with a well-natured dog or two in tow) in the cosy bar or the light and airy dining room. Or spill out into the sunny garden with views to the rugged Atlantic coastline. Stay on and settle in by the roaring fire for a legendary Tinners Thursday Folk Night session. “At Zennor one sees infinite Atlantic, all peacock-mingled colours, and

Worst fish and chips ever. Haddock small and tasteless, batter non existent, 100 frozen chips tho! Great - not and frozen peas WOW!! Will not go back ever. Was looking forward to a lovely pub meal, placed the order and paid, in comes 20 children...on a school trip for ice cream and toilet stop GREAT! Is this not a pub for adults???? Rubbish.More

Lovely pub to sit outside with a cold drink after a long coastal walk. Fabulous walks along the cliff in each direction, loads of tables outside with umbrellas for shade. Dog bowls of water too, We had a great sandwich and shared a bowl of...chips. Free iced tap water and glasses available on a table inside too. Two rounds of sandwiches a bowl of chips and a pint of offshore was £24. I’ll attach a pic. Was nice! It’s also round the corner from the beautiful Zennor church with the mermaid chair.More

Obviously it has changed a bit with different owners etc, but fundamentally The Tinners has stayed the same over the years, without feeling the need to chase the next trendy thing - which brings me straight to my favourite part of coming here..... Sharps Mermaid....It's bloody lovely beer, and I say a special little "thankyou" to the beer gods, every visit just to make sure the next time it hasn't been replaced by that other Sharps beer that has taken over the ale world. Many moons ago, The Tinners was the best place to get St Austell HSD from the cask, and was always worth the walk from St Ives for a pint or 6More

Called into the Tinners Arms on our arrival at our holiday area on Jubilee Friday lunchtime. Got a seat in the garden easily and had a lovely lunch in the sun. Food all homemade and a good Gluten Free selection to be had.

Such a wonderful place to sit outside and eat a leisurely lunch. We had light bites - mackerel pate and calamari which was astonishingly good. All served with a friendly smile and welcome

Stopped in as part of our SWCP walk. The main bar is a bit dark but the dining area behind is light and airy. Nice ales and good pub food (fish and chips and chilli). Decent portions and a friendly young barman. Glad we visited

A great old part of the pub, dark and atmospheric. The rest of unremarkable, but food and ales well presented.
