Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Dinning at Omara was a great experience, my fiancé and I had a great time. Service was superb, everyone super attentive. The place has a nice atmosphere, beautiful setting. Food was great, I had the barbacoa style Tacos and my partner the Rosarito tacos, both...were delicious. Lastly, we finish our meal with their new brownie dessert, which was really good. Highly recommended place.More

The catch of the day alone warrants a review. In this case, it was fresh snapper, pan fried with crispy skin, in a puree of peas and carrot. It was so flavorful and fresh, each bite was a delight. We also had the crispy nigiri,...quite good. The wine and mezcal mule were also good. The service was friendly though a little slow. It was a warm and balmy night and a full house. I saw some other dishes go by and they looked fantastic. A bit pricey for the area. The fish though....my impression was that whoever was preparing the food had passion and knowledge, and the catch of the day was definitely just that as it was so fresh. All and all, definitely recommend because the food was excellent.More

This place has decent food and drinks. The wine is a bit on the pricey side but the mescal drinks are good. Wait staff is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. The only bad thing about the place is how loud the music is. It's...impossible to have a conversation without yelling at each other. Even when O asked them to turn it down the DJ was rude about it, turned down slightly and then made it louder. Not worth it.More

Simply the best meal we have had in Mexico. Perfect salads, fresh fish, and beautifully presented by a friendly staff. Loved the fish of the day with sweet potato puree.

Bad experience from start to finish. Sign outside said “Oysters!!”. When we went to order, we were told there were none. We ordered the salad, the lettuce was soggy. I then ordered the rib-eye (way overpriced at $600 pesos). The waiter just said “ok”—he didn’t...ask how I wanted it cooked. I had to remind him. When it came, it was over salted and inedible. Wine by the glass is about half, or at most two-thirds, of a standard serving. Margarita was decent. Waiter was awkward and inattentive. Felt queasy after first few bites. Dog in restaurant barking loudly. Ambience lacks warmth, character.More

Rib eye tacos here are legendary. Superb steak. Piece of bone marrow on the side for added flavour. House habanero sauce is hot, but delicious! Paired with the premium wine (a Spanish Rioja), all round superb experience! Review by a pair of food lovers from...London, UK.More

We have eaten at this restaurant twice in our 3 months in Puerto Escondido. Both times were a disappointment. The food is mediocre at best, but they charge a premium for it. There are far better choices on the Rinconada. I left a bag with...two brand new shirts in it on the back of my chair, and the next morning we went back to get them, talked to the same waiter, and he didn’t know what we were talking about. The staff is poorly trained, and overwhelmed when it gets busy. Don’t waste your money here.More

Exceptional. Best cocktails, food and service we’ve received in Puerto Escondido by far. Everything was super fresh and had received every bit of care and attention you would expect from a fine dining restaurant, but with a very casual and welcoming vibe. The whole menu...is very reasonably priced. The service was prompt, they spoke English and had an English menu. 10/10 would recommend.More
