If you like mushroom soup then order this. We were expecting whole or sliced mushrooms not tiny little pieces that you had to hunt to find in the sauce. Won't order again, very disappointed
Lunch at the Boat House, taking advantage of the government subsidy. As the weather was very hot and sunny we sat outside, the COVID-19 precautions were in place inside and outside - So felt the pub was operating within the guidelines. The ordering process for...More

After paddle boarding between Hillmorton and Braunston we had no reservation but the management worked hard to find a table for 4 plus a small dog on bank holiday Monday (around 5pm). The food was excellent and the service couldn't have been more attentive (thank...More

My brisket burger was lovely. My wife's steak was another matter. Asked for medium ware but it turned up closer to well done and was quite dry. Some of the staff were lovely, particularly the waitress who made a fuss of our little dog. However,...More

Two of us had a mid-afternoon meal at the Boat House in Braunston. The position of the pub is lovely, right by the canal and decent garden area to sit.
The expectation was low as it's a Marston's pub and expect freezer to microwave to...More
Went past this pub a few times thinking we have to try it. When we finally did we were met by a rude member of staff policing the door to seat people (social distancing). She made us feel guilty for not booking a table. When...More
Not adhering to track n trace guidelines. Food average. Beer good. Garden good. Social distancing good, only because the clientele were good - staff can’t be bothered with it any more obviously. Would go back - post-covid only!

Hi, the tow path is on the other side of the canal from the pub, but the road bridge is not far away, about 100m.
I don't know if there are seats along the towpath, sorry.
