Great fish restaurant. We've been going back seven years running. The restaurant is always crowded. It has a good location by the lake and I like most the tables by the water. The shrimp cocktail to share (ask the waiter to split it for you and to serve it Mexican-style i.e. with the "soup"), the tortillas filled with crab meat... More

I came for the Coconut Shrimp and was completely satisfied. Here's the deal... when any shrimp gets cold, and you take a bite, you taste cold breading and it's not good. At La Laguna, it still tastes like fantastic coconut shrimp. My wife had a mixed seafood grill which was also fantastic. Someone in our party ordered the snapper.. it... More

Have been here several times and the food is good. The lagoon view is great and fun to see the crocodile swimming so close.

We've made this restaurant the first one we go to when we arrive every year. Still good food - - and lots of it -- especislly the coconut shrimp.

A nice cozy place with really good fish. We always order "pescado zarandeado" with a cold beer. You get to sit by the lagoon with some live music to enjoy a lovely evening.

I went with 4 friends to this wonderful restaurant. We were sat by the lagoon, where we watched lots of happy frogs and a crocodile, as well as birds. We ordered Cuba Libras (plenty of alcohol and delicious) before dinner. Then, we had the Coconut Mango Shrimp as an appetizer (4 jumbo shrimp). Oh my gosh! Incredible taste that tantalizes... More

SoSo ambiance! Nautical theme by a lagoon. Could be nice during the day. We ordered a shrimp salad which was excellent and could have been our meal. Wife ordered 4 Jumbo shrimp that were very good. I ordered the whole red snapper not realizing it was smoked. All you could taste was the smoke and not even a hint of... More

Staff was busy and did their best. Very uncomfortable chairs. I was happy with my salad and shrimp but my husband was very disappointed in his soup and ordered ribeye fair which came well done and tasteless. Will not return.

The wait staff is amazing - Vidal and Carlos - also the hostess, Mary, is very accommodating. The setting is on a small lake and is beautiful. Love the tortugas swimming around and an occasional crocodile that floats by too. The drinks are great and the food is amazing! Loved the bacon wrapped shrimp!

Last minute reservations for our last night. No problem for 13 of us. Great service and amazing food & drinks. The shrimp were ample and delicious. Lots to choose from, whatever your taste.
