Excellent evening meal here last week, at a great price. An interesting menu which seems to change, with excellent beer and a good wine selection, and the possibility to do a wide ranging gin tasting if you get the urge. Staff are very friendly, and happy to help.

Lovely pub following recent refurbishment. Delicious fresh food and excellent local ale. Probably our favourite of the south hams locals situated in a beautiful village - ideal to stop by as part of a long country walk

I've been in to the Hunters' Lodge a few times, both for food (lunch and dinner) and just for drinks. It's got a smart, modern feel to it for a country pub and I always enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. The menu is a cut above other local pubs and the cooking is executed very well. Would highly recommend a visit,... More

Visited beginning of August .Had a skinny burger which was wonderful and made especially for me as I didn't want to eat carbs. The atmosphere in the pub was just magical; low music and an abundance of candles. Service was very attentive. Looking forward to visiting again next week

Paid £12 for what was advertised as a haloumi salad, we honestly thought it was a starter when it came out. Miserly bits spread across a plate with a garnish. When we asked where the salad was the chef came out with a bowel of salad and said on the house. Well don't do us any favours will you. It... More

Having read reviews I was very excited about this pub. However on arrival was disappointed by this soulless modern pub with only one other table occupied. Despite appearance and atmosphere (rock music and dramatic movie music) I was still hopeful food would make up for it. When starters arrived was very impressed by presentation, however was disappointed in general by... More

A quiet Monday dinner to celebrate a birthday in the lovely surrounds of Cornworthy, South Hams..... The food was delicious and the service very friendly and efficient. We were neither rushed not kept waiting. The range of wines were good and we enjoyed our choice. I'm sure that this pub / restaurant will increase in popularity so if you are... More

This Inn is worth a visit - good food served in comfortable and relaxed surroundings and priced reasonably. The scallops with cauliflower purée and black pudding was notable as well as the excellent cheese selection for dessert.

Went for an evening meal here as we were staying at Higher Gitcombe around a mile away. Good selection of beers, ales and spirits. Great food menu - we had Camembert and Prawns, followed by Ribeye Steak and Lamb and the Cheese Selection and Cheesecake for dessert. Reasonable value for money and served quickly. I asked for my steak medium... More
