I use this restaurant quite often with friends and family. The food is delicious and have never had a bad meal. The staff are very knowledgeable and go out of their way to make sure you order the right dish if you are not sure what to order. My sister is vegetarian and they suggested different options for her.
Overall the staff, food and restaurant are excellent. See you soon.

Myself and my wife along with 2 of our close family visited the Mint Leaf on 22/09 to celebrate my birthday. It was our 1st ever visit and came on the recommendation of our son.
I must say what a fantastic restaurant this is. The food is incredible and the waiters were fantastic.
From the minute we walked through the door the waiters were so friendly which made us feel extremely comfortable, and they were always available to help and advise on menu choices, kept checking throughout the meal if everything was OK and they all had great character which made what was already a great evening even better.
All this was also done in a Covid secure way to very high standard.
If you live anywhere in the surrounding areas, you really must try The Mint Leaf, it's exceptional.

Although delivery was twenty minutes late this was understandable considering the distance we were from the Mint Leaf restaurant, the meal only needed a couple of seconds in the microwave to heat up and it was absolutely delicious. Very impressed and will definitely be ordering again soon. Would highly recommend and we are looking forward to the restaurants opening again so we can have a meal in house too

We try our level best to get customers food on time sometimes yes there might be a slight delay depending on the day especially on a busy Saturday night. We are extremely happy that you enjoyed our food.

Our friends invited us to a meal at the Mint Leaf after receiving a £20 off voucher due to shocking service at their last visit.
Guess what? We received another £20 off voucher tonight again for poor service. Our main meal took two hours to arrive.
The £20 vouchers are pre-printed giving the impression that they are used on a regular basis.
Our voucher has gone in the bin. We won't be returning for a long time.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused by our services.
Please understand that we are trying to get back to normality in this current situation we are facing, yes service was slightly slower than normal. We give all our customers up to 2 hours on the table from start to finish, sometimes if we are to quick we get feedback from the customer that we are trying to rush them you just can't win either way plus it was a SATURDAY night.
Regarding the £20 off vouchers we give thease vouchers out of good will gestures when customers enjoy their first visit so they return a second round not because they had a bad experience first time round we feel that is a little harsh you saying only reason we gave you the voucher was because of the service wasn't up to the normal standards first time round, plus we gave the voucher back to you if you want to return on a different day just so that you leave our restaurant happy thinking it just might be one of those days will give them another chance in the near future.
We do apologise one again we want all our customers to enjoy our food and service so that they keep coming back time after time, mabe we can get it wright in the near future.

We thought we would give Mint Leaf another try! We have a takeaway every weekend but don't normally use Mint Leaf as we had a less than favourable experience with them about 2 years ago but times change.... Or do they? Unfortunately we suffered the same experience... They can't deliver on time. We had to chase our food last time and had to do the same again this time, 1 hour and 50 minutes is totally unacceptable, particularly when our usual takeaway deliver in less than 30 minutes. When the food arrived it was also less than satisfactory, unfortunately the sauce was watery, the spices on the chicken were not cooked out so it was dry and it was cold so most of it ended up in the bin. We paid more money for 2 mains, a rice and a naan bread than we normally do for 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 rice, 1 naan and a couple of poppadoms. Definitely won't be trying them for a third time. Very Disappointing.

Sorry that we have not been able to meet your expectations this time round or last time round.
Please note on a Saturday night delivery times are 2 hours at peak time.......its virtually impossible for us to deliver with in 30 minutes on any night, never mind on a Saturday night.... We sold many takeaways on sataday night no else complaint about our food not being cooked properly..... Hopefully you can go back to your regular takeaway and am so they can deliver within 30 minutes.... Am pretty sure we can't, we are far to busy to deliver within the time schedule your after

This is the first and possibly the last visit to mint leaf. We have read and heard of great reviews about this place and I for one was disappointed. Giving the benefit of doubt first, it was New Year’s Eve so I totally understand the demand of service to customers however, and it is a big however.
I called to book a table a few days before and they made it sound like it was full. They game me 2 options to book in so I took the later one. I left my name so we knew it was a concrete booking.
On arrival, no name was asked by the doorman, he just shoved us on the waiting sofa starring at people eating food which felt uncomfortable anyway.
We then got taken to our table (and there was plenty of room too) shortly followed by another couple who took the next table. We had a look at the menus when, a regular couple came in and sat 2 tables down, only to get served instantly. Regardless of importance and how much you spend in the vicinity, we should have been first. So, we ordered 6 popadoms to share with pickle tray and they wasn’t even warm. They tasted like rubber and they had been stood for some time. The pickle tray was awful, like it had been slopped together. We had to be asked to get a drink which was awkward.
Onto the starters, the tandoori chicken actually was really nice, came on a small plate with 1 small tomato and some discoloured lettuce. It wasn’t served on a skewer either. My partners allo chop was cold.
It took 25 minutes for the mains to arrive and we hadn’t even had our starters taken away either so the table was a mess. The waiter was arrogant and slammed the plates onto the table shouting “enjoy your meals happy new year” in the most sarcastic voice too.
Overall, a very disappointing evening when we was looking forward to it too. We never got looked after once and asked if we need anymore drinks etc. i must say though, we have eaten at Ayeshas on Dronfield bottom and they actually blow mint leaf away. So, we won’t come back I’m afraid. Ohh, give the toilets a clean they were awful. 1/10 for me guys.

Owing to the current Lockdown , I can only comment on the quality of the Takeaway Food. Ordered through Just Eat and I was extremely grateful that the Restaurant delivered to a Chesterfield address ( Looks like this may have now stopped ). The Service was much appreciated.
Delivery was prompt and the Food was extremely well-packaged. The dishes were fresh and tasty. Slight downside for my tastes was that the Seekh Kebab did not appear to have been cooked in the Tandoor ( it tasted reasonably good ) and the Dansak Dish was a little on the sweet side. Portions and Food quality were very good overall. I would certainly order again if the opportunity arose. I would also like to visit the Restaurant when times become more normal !

Had a takeaway, food was average 3 stars but took 1 hour 45 mins to deliver (just eat said 15-30 mins but had to order over phone as couldn’t order vegetarian curry online). Food was cold and bread was dry by the time it arrived and they didn’t send the bottle of Coke we ordered. Won’t use again.

Sorry we did not meet your expectations this time round.
We apologise for missing bottle of coke... Thease things do happen from time to time.... After all we are human and humans do make mistakes.
I would like to take this opportunity to inform all our customers about the online ordering system and how it work..... When the customer orders it will give you an estimated delivery time..... If we are busy we have no option but to add additional time onto the order... This can take the delivery times up to 1/2 hours.
You placed your order with us directly by ringing the restaurant due to some items not on the website menu.... Sometimes if customers need to change few things on the order they have to contact the restaurant directly which you did...... When you placed the order you was told it would be 130 - 140 minutes which you said that wouldn't be a problem..... Please understand that you ordered from the S12 area which is quite a distance from our restaurant therefore you was given a longer estimated delivery time.
Hopefully if you decide to give us another chance in the near future we can get it wright.... We will be happy to accommodate some kind of discount for the missing iteam...we value all our customers at mint leaf... Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Visited on a Saturday night. Service was really slow. Had to wait 20 mins to get a drink and after our order was taken took an hour for it to be served by waiters with face masks only covering their mouths and not their noses. No track and trace was in place. Hand sanitizer in doorway was empty.

N0. 1.... DRINKS ORDER.... please understand that there are over 100 people who are dining in the restaurant at the same time as yourselves who also ordered drinks.... Yes we agree that your drinks order was slightly late... This is due to the long list of drinks orders at the bar we try our level best to be quick as we can I think your drinks order was the last one on the list... We deeply apologise for the inconvenience caused plus it was a busy Saturday night.
No.2... FOOD ORDER.... You mentioned it took 1 hour until your food arrived to your table... We believe that this is a very reasonable amount of time which you received your food especially on a busy Saturday.
N0.3... TRACK AND TRACE...... we believe that mint leaf is covid-19 secure as can be.... Every customer who walked into our establishment on Saturday night is track and traced for safety reasons.... All customers details are taken when customers want to visit our restaurant regardless what day it is so please don't acuse us of not taking these details from yourselves, your details will be in our diary...... Before opening we was recessed and we have certified certificates from THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATIONS that Mint Leaf have been recessed and is COVID 19 safe and secure and is safe for the public to use this establishment these posters are plastered all around the restaurant, to show all members off staff and customers how to stay safe... You also pointed out that on the way in to our establishment the hand sanitizer system was empty.... We do apologise for the inconvenience caused there are five hand sanitizer stations situated all around the restaurant, if you mentioned it to one of our staff members I'm sure they would have resolved the situation straight away or directed you to a different hand sanitizing station.
No.4.........FACE COVERINGS.... you mentioned that one of our staff members face mask was beneath the nose, please understand that the face coverings are to protect OURSELVES from the virus.
If you would like to discuss this issue further please contact the restaurant after 5PM.

I called to see how long my order was going to be delayed by (as I was starvinggg and upon ordering, I was told by JustEat that my order would be later than it’s initial delivery time) I was greeted, at 5:15, by a friendly and efficient young man who informed me he’d be sending my food out as soon as they open at 5:30 - which he did! I have since been massively impressed by the Bengal lamb chops, chicken bhuna and entrees. Then the delivery driver came and topped it all off with his warm and appreciative manner. Feels so good to support such a lovely bunch of people! 10/10 - would absolutely recommend!

Wow this is the second time I’ve been for a meal here and it did not disappoint. The meal was beautiful and cooked perfectly the lamb was cooked to perfection. Even my hubby who is a very fussy eater cleared his plate it was his first time and said he will defo go back. The staff was all very polite and helpful and made us feel very welcome

We ordered a takeaway on the phone, as usual, we’ve had many many takeaways from here before, and spent a lot of money here.
I collected my takeaway, went home and found my meal wasn’t in the bag with the rest of the food. I called up to say I was missing a meal, after waiting for a while I was told to come back and collect it, the rest of the food was cold also, so I said I will come back with all the food as it’s cold, and I’ll just have a refund. After been told he’d gone to get the manager, he came back on the phone and said “alright come back then” I went to give my food back and what I presume was the manager said nothing to me, not an apology or anything, he just took my card off me, tapped the card machine in an angrily manner , gave me the receipt and walked off without saying a word to me.
He had a shocking attitude, and because of this we will not be returning again, and I’ll be sure to tell my friends and family of the awful service I got.

The only reason we did not say anything was when you brought the food back we was SHOCKED as it still was hot.... What do want us to do you wanted your money back and you got it.. we don't argue with our customers you got what you wanted money back for still very warm food.

We started using Mint Leaf for the previous 3 weeks, as out regular regular restaurant remains closed due to COVID_19. We was very pleased with the quality of the food it was very tasty and rich in flavours. Thanks for providing great food and service despite this difficult situation. We were a party of 10. We were put in a separate area at two horseshoe shaped tables each sitting 6. They were so far apart we immediately became two parties of 6 and 4 as we could not possibly hold any sort of conversation with the other table.
When it came to ordering we emphasised that we wanted separate itemised bills. My meal was excellent so the food is not a problem.
When the bills arrived, one bill was for the table of 4, the other was for the table of 6 but this bill just had one large sum for all the drinks from both tables. When we asked for the drinks to be itemised staff were far from happy and the whole paying part of the evening turned into a bit of a farce.

Are you sure that you have the right establishment. We find it impossible that you paid £178 pounds for a table for 2, our average price per head is 20-25 pounds tops...are you sure that it's not just a bad dream you had...am pretty sure that when you awake from this bad dream it will be a big relief knowing that you did not pay 178 pounds for a table for 2.
Please call into the restaurant when you get the chance so we can discuss the issues further...If you can provide proof that you paid 178 pounds for a couple we the mangment will happily refund the full amount....we keep all our customers bill's so it won't be difficult finding your 178 pounds bill for 2 people...which we the mangment definitely believe that is impossible.
