Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

They didn't ask us to pre-order. There were 14 of us, seated at 2 tables - a table of 10 and a table of 4, which wasn't ideal. We had to wait over an hour for the main course, then over half an hour for...dessert. The food was lovely and well-presented when it eventually arrived. If we go again, I think we should pre-order and also ask for the table layout to be different, so that we can all sit together.More

Overnight stay at this gem of a country pub. Room was clean and comfortable with great facilities. Ate evening meal and breakfast and both were home cooked and fabulous. Great stay and made very welcome by the host David

We had a fantastic stay at this charming Inn & Pub. We came from America to this little village in search of some family history, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Our en-suite room was nicely appointed, comfortable and clean. We were there...for several nights and ate downstairs in the pub for breakfast and dinner. Food was always delicious and felt like great home cooking. Atmosphere and decor was inviting and friendly. Honestly, it just felt like home away from home. I would recommend this Inn & Pub to all travelers. We plan to stay there again when we return to England. Thank you to everyone at the Bulls Head for a lovely memory.More

First time eating here in a while. Won’t be bothering again. Poor food: the chicken was like rope. Much better eateries in the area at a more reasonable price.

Been here many, many times but not been since last year but wanted to end my mini holiday on a high and I knew this place wouldn’t disappoint and it didn’t! From when you step inside your valued. Pleasantly warm on a chilly evening and...chose where we sat. The menu was soon presented and our drink order took. I chose scampi and hubby always asked if he can have surf and turf which isn’t on the menu and it’s always been a yes. For saying there was already a table of 8 another 2 of 2 people we didn’t have to wait very long for our meal. A good plate full of yummy food. Couldn’t eat a pudding but there is a good choice. Really enjoyed the return. Definitely be back.More

We stayed for a couple of nights in grey, drizzly January to meet up with friends. Dave gave us a very warm welcome, set us up with tea and biscuits and left us to chat in the warm bar. Nothing was too much trouble for...any of the staff. They really are a delightful group of people, really chatty and helptful. I had a rotten cold so I was given a hot toddy to take up to bed! The rooms are comfortable and everything is provided. I would certainly recomment this hotel to anyone who is looking for a very comfortable, hospitable place to stay.More

From the moment we walked in the service was amazing, had a bottle of wine on the table and my glass was filled by staff before we even had chance, such a nice touch to our experience. The 3 course meal was excellent, the service...perfect and well priced. Thank you, we will be back.More

We meet up here with friends several time a year as it is convenient for us all. Can honestly say none of us have ever had a bad experience. Indeed, the food and service has always been top notch. Had a great steak last night,...superb cut of meat and cooked to perfection. Nothing left on my plate at all! My wife had the vegetable lasagne and said it was very tasty. Great choice of puddings too. Recommended without hesitation!More

I'd say ring them and ask because it's not overly big and spacious and would probably mean you having it to yourselves
