First time eating here in a while. Won’t be bothering again. Poor food: the chicken was like rope. Much better eateries in the area at a more reasonable price.

My friend and I had lunch. We had a two course each. Service from Dave brilliant and meal cooked to perfection. Would recommend this establishment always.
Good beer, good food. Friendly and helpful staff. Went for B&B had dinner too. Comfortable rooms, clean and well catered.
We popped in for some drinks and was totally amazed with welcome we received, that we ended up staying for food and dessert 😋 The owner was lovely and looked after us very well. We were well informed about the Gluten Free options and the...food did not disappoint. I highly recommend. 😋More
Great atmosphere- olde worlde Tudor, but manages to be spacious. Great service and great food! Kind staff and dog friendly! Would come back!
Been here many, many times but not been since last year but wanted to end my mini holiday on a high and I knew this place wouldn’t disappoint and it didn’t! From when you step inside your valued. Pleasantly warm on a chilly evening and...chose where we sat. The menu was soon presented and our drink order took. I chose scampi and hubby always asked if he can have surf and turf which isn’t on the menu and it’s always been a yes. For saying there was already a table of 8 another 2 of 2 people we didn’t have to wait very long for our meal. A good plate full of yummy food. Couldn’t eat a pudding but there is a good choice. Really enjoyed the return. Definitely be back.More
We stayed for a couple of nights in grey, drizzly January to meet up with friends. Dave gave us a very warm welcome, set us up with tea and biscuits and left us to chat in the warm bar. Nothing was too much trouble for...any of the staff. They really are a delightful group of people, really chatty and helptful. I had a rotten cold so I was given a hot toddy to take up to bed! The rooms are comfortable and everything is provided. I would certainly recomment this hotel to anyone who is looking for a very comfortable, hospitable place to stay.More

From the moment we walked in the service was amazing, had a bottle of wine on the table and my glass was filled by staff before we even had chance, such a nice touch to our experience. The 3 course meal was excellent, the service...perfect and well priced. Thank you, we will be back.More

We meet up here with friends several time a year as it is convenient for us all. Can honestly say none of us have ever had a bad experience. Indeed, the food and service has always been top notch. Had a great steak last night,...superb cut of meat and cooked to perfection. Nothing left on my plate at all! My wife had the vegetable lasagne and said it was very tasty. Great choice of puddings too. Recommended without hesitation!More
We called in for our Friday night treat and were so glad we did. We have been out over the last few weeks and had some appalling meals but this was fresh, tasty and the portions were generous. We were made to feel welcome and...were very well looked after, well done Bulls Head, Hartshorne, 10 out of 10 😊More
Meal for 4 adults, prompt service. Lovely staff, large portions. Next time will miss the starters to leave enough room for the delicious looking puddings
Stayed two nights, room very clean & pleasant, staff friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast, and the one meal we had was good quality and tasty. This is a traditional English pub with rooms, not fancy but a good place to stay for a midweek break....It's four star rather than five only because the public areas are a little tired, but that's a minor detail.More
Really, there's not much more I can say than what's in my title - I thoroughly enjoyed my meals there.
