Went here for my Birthday lunch, had a really good menu, unfortunately a lot of it wasn't available so not much choice left for dairy free but had a roast and glad i did it was lovely, hubby had lasagne and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lovely old fashioned pub which is what we like, overall very happy.

We love popping in the black swan after a walk with the dog. A knit and natter group meet on Monday mornings upstairs too, which is friendly and gives people in the village the chance to meet and make new friends. Kate and her staff have turned around a place that had no personality and created a place that you... More

Visited back in December and we found the place very nice indeed. it is clean, comfortable and friendly. The food was very good, all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were visiting the area and visited all the pubs and eateries, this was by far the nicest.

Have been twice to this pub - Lunch time and evening. Both times we have had lovely meals. It is one of our local pubs and we will be returning.

Attentive staff, fantastic food at a reasonable price, dog-friendly and a toasty environment with a log fire. Only minor issue is that there was only merlot with regards to red wine. Otherwise, an excellent experience and I have already recommended to friends.

This pub is just what a village local should be. CLEAN WARM AND WELCOMING! The food is yummy with good portions, I had Rabbit Pie even though I was a bit cautious about eating 'thumper' but it was delicious! Unlike the corporate pubs and bars this is a friendly place run by real people who are keen to please and... More
