Called into Kaths cafe after a morning walking. There are no frills here but the food is good, traditional and plenty of it. I had a minted lamb pie with mashed potatoes, carrots and cabbage which was delicious. There was a variety of cakes if you just fancy cake & coffee. You certainly don't need a pudding after one of... Very enjoyable lunch, good food and service, highly recommended, I had the roast beef and my friends had chicken pie and the lamb and mint pie, all delicious. The cakes looked lovely, all home made but we were too full! Will certainly go again and recommend to others.

I went with a family group to use gift tokens. A tad difficult to find, really out in the sticks but fabulous views en route and arrival. We went for afternoon tea, the quality pf the food was out standing, nicely presented and huge amounts. Not a single grouse about any of it. Very nice selection of gifts and good... More

We now visit 2/3 times a week, a 10 mile distance but great food and the dinners are exceptional in value and taste. For me the Gammon/cheese/pineapple toasties are a great alternative for a hot day. Fab ice cream also. You do have to wait though as all food is cooked for you, but well worth it. A real treasure... More

If you're comfortable surrounded by shelves of porcelain animals, copious trinkets, nick-nacks & fancy cake covers and you don't mind sitting on white-painted metal chairs, then this is an OK cafe for you. Personally, such things aren't to my taste and the chairs were a shade uncomfortable. Be aware though, that this is a very personal view and I could... More

3 of us called in as we were passing by, i had a lamb shank dinner. It was superb. It was served very hot and was a very generous portion. I can eat but it certainly filled me. Staff very attentive and the service was 1st class. Excellent value for money, will be calling again.
