We arrived and sat outside , once ordered, our food took an hour to come we checked with a member of staff how much longer after 1 hour he said it is just coming now , 1 hour wait ok at least it is being...cooked fresh. Well it felt like it had been sat under the light for ages I had a garlic chicken With onion it was soo dry!! No check back on food just feels like they have expanded their seating so much they can’t keep up with it being so busy so lacks organisation! We sat around tables and tables of empty plates out side !! I defiantly wouldn’t return!More

Had a fab visit to the Fighting Cocks this evening! We were blown away by the choice of food, the friendly service and the sheer size of the portions. Really great value for money, and just bloomin lovely home cooked food. The best curry I've...ever had. We will be back!More

Friendly and welcoming staff with a very good menu. We sat inside though there is ample outdoor seating and lots to entertain children. The menu was extensive. I asked about the sauce on one dish and was offered a little to try. Nice touch. All...staff were lovely. They have a neat little system on tables. A little bell press gets the attention of a waiter. My main course was great and generous portions.More

Always go here at least once when I visit the Island as it never disappoints, went with a family of five ( including a dog ) and had lovely food once again

Was ok, there is a lovely playground. The food was tasty although the chicken was slightly chewy. The staff appeared overworked, the service was slow and the staff obviously didn’t really care about any impression they left. Inside the pub was dark and dingy so...our family left as soon as we finished dinner and didn’t linger for any dessert.More

We booked in advance because we knew the restaurant gets very busy. The service we received from arrival to departure was first class. Our grandchildren both had a sizeable sausage and chips which they enjoyed. The Gourmet burgers were excellent and my wife thoroughly enjoyed...the fish and chips. The childrens play area was very good.More

I had the Thai curry. It had some heat, but none of the expected Thai flavours of lime leaves and lemon grass. My wife's fish pie was adequate.

Staff were great Food was lovely Perfect location with lots of outdoor space Highly recommended (The fudge cake is too rich and filling for one person 😂 maybe a little bit more ice cream to cut through the sweetness)

I ordered Ploughmans. What a disappointment! I received 2 thin slices of Supermarket white bread and 2 small pieces of Cheddar. With that I was given a few grapes, 4 small slices of apple, some pickle and Mankey old salad, that looked like it had...been on someone else plate. This is the worst Ploughmans for the price of £13.95. I was expecting 2 chunks of crusty bread and at least 2 different cheeses, as with all other Ploughmans on the Island. I know I should have complained but as I was with guests I didn’t want to spoil our meal. They did comment on the way home about the awful Ploughmans though, so I wish I had complained now.More

I've been asked to answer this but I don't live on the Isle! I would recommend booking as it's popular, for good reason!!
