On most days, you can smell the roasting coffee throughout Sunnyside and Kensington. Roasterie is not spacious and it is not particularly comfortable but the coffee is fantastic and there is lots to choose from. The baristas are friendly and super knowledgeable. It is a Calgary tradition, so don't miss it if you are visiting. And, be sure to buy... More

Small but swanky spot. Unique coffee beans, incredible selections. Favorite coffee spot in the city! 5 stars!! I got a cold brew with coconut milk today.

Haven't been in the area for a while, but I was able to stop in for a coffee at this classic Calgary coffee house. It was a leader in educating Calgarians about what good coffee could be, and they haven't stopped. Inside, it loaded with wonderful coffee paraphernalia. Often, you can follow your nose to this place, because they roast... More

I have been buying my coffee from the Roasterie for nearly 30 years. They have always imported their coffee beans green and then fresh roasted onsite. They feature a variety of coffee from all over the world that is constantly changing based on availability. I have bought coffee from other speciality places but the Roasterie is 'hands down' consistently the... More

I'd you don't know the difference about espresso quality crafted coffee and want to look genuine hipster, Amsterdam, chess playing, classic book, sketch book of crappy art... This is your place... If you like your brew.. Walk past the s#%t show of cig and pot butts

The Roasterie saved me many many years ago when I had just arrived in Calgary and felt homesick for good European style cafés. It's been around for a long time and is still worth a visit because, here, it's all about the coffee! No compromises, you will get a perfect expresso or any style of beverage with an expresso base.... More

Staying nearby, we stopped at a bakery around the corner from this place and Roasterie was recommended. Good varieties of coffee. Roasting done on premises. You can have a regular drip brew, espresso or Aeropress version of your favorite Cupa here. Staff friendly. Would return again next time to Calgary. I would agree with another poster that place it getting... More

Came here with a friend after a long winter walk- even though we were planning on going for a coffee we went for the hot chocolate, which was simple delicious! The atmosphere is welcoming and very warm with all those pots and jaws filled with coffee beans coming from all over the world.

Once I got past the eccentric and eclectic atmosphere set by the unconventional staff and clientele in and directly outside the shop, I found myself pleasantly surprised by the experience I had at The Roasterie. The coffee is dark roasted and delicious. The staff is knowledgeable and entertaining, happy to take up a conversation on coffee or anything else for... More
