Tropika has been a favourite of mine for years. I have not been in a while but have visited twice recently and the food is still delicious. The satay skewers, Indonesian sprig roll, home style chicken, roti, beef curry (spicy), sambal bunches, and coconut rice are my favourite dishes. I recommend the lunch combination specials for the best value here... More

We had a reservation of 6pm on a Sunday. The restaurant got busy very quickly and it was a bit noisy since the sound was bouncing around. Cheesy decor but typical for Asian restaurant. Service was just okay, the waitress did not come back and ask us how's everything; however they did come by and fill our water glasses. The... More

Place is nice, service is fast and menu is quite extensive. The prices are above average but the authenticity of the food being served (Malay and a bit of Thai), is there. It is worthwhile trying this ethnic themed restaurant when in Edmonton.

The Gado Gado was so good the last time we were here that we came back for it. This time it was just as tasty but the tofu was fried to hard little cubes and deterred from the enjoyment. The beef was the real disappointment. The beef satay was so tough we actually spit it out. The Beef rending was... More

Went for dinner with 2 friends - one who likes very spicy food, and one who does not. We found well-prepared tasteful food to satisfy everyone. We ordered sambal bunchies (green beans with sambal chili sauce), Thai style vegetables, red chili chicken, Tom Yum vegetable soup and coconut rice. The veggie dishes were very well prepared - tender-crisp, not overdone,... More

Delicious - as usual. Probably my 8 or 9th visits since it opened. Had lamb satay, Eggplant, seafood, ginger rice; and luscious lamb curry. Food is also fantastic. Dinner for two with beer and lots of leftovers (3 dishes and appetizer) $80 plus tip.

It was very good. Only problem was they forgot to serve us one of our selections and brought it to the table as we were finishing. This was after we had told them a couple of times .

The place was full but the service and the food were execellent. The menu is quite extensive and everyone should. Be able to find something that appeals to their taste.
