I've been going here since they opened. Hands down some of the most authentic Thai food in the city. My favs are the Drunken Noodles, Penang Curry, Coconut Soup, Laos Papaya Salad. The absolute must haves are the Red Wine Shrimp appetizer and Roti for dessert. I don't know any other Thai place that serves Roti. Now I am hungry... More

I eat here every chance that I get. Their coconut rice and orange cashew chicken is amazing!! It's in a bad part of town but it's so worth it. Never had a problem with the people who populate the area.

Nice venue and friendly and fast service but found the food to be less than exciting. The chicken satay appetizer was very good and the best part of our meal. The green chicken curry was not very flavourful. I'm used to it coming with Thai eggplant but this had cucumber and the sauce was a bit too sweet. We ordered... More

We went to Viphalay on Saturday. It was great! The green curry was especially amazing. We also had Pad Thai and a beef stir fry. The service was good and the bill was reasonable for the quality of the food. You can't go wrong going here.

My family and I have gone to Viphalay for years, they serve the best Thai food in all of Edmonton. The Green Curry with coconut rice is amazing, and the cashew chicken is a family favorite as well. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Great meal, they have both spicy and non spicy dishes that everyone can enjoy. Service is quick, making it perfect for lunch or dinner.

We have enjoy every one of our meals at this restaurant. All the food is fragrant with layers of fresh flavour. A few years back we lived close to the restaurant and visited frequently. We recently returned to the city and our first night here we had to have food from Viphalay! The family that runs this place is lovely... More

Eating Thai food is always a great experience when it is done properly and Viphalay Laos always does it perfect. We had several different dishes and enjoyed them all. The service was well timed when the dishes came out which made for a perfect dinner. We will be back.

This restaurant is near Little Italy, and on the edge of Chinatown. The food has always pleased me on my visits. The lunch menu is limited---mainly Pad Thai, red/green/etc. curries, daily specials---all reasonable at $15. A dining friend said that her Pad Thai was one of the best she'd tasted. I like their curries, served with really coconutty rice! The... More
