Wendel's hits a home run every time with their food quality! You can't get a bad meal there. Only problem is, is the tight quarters and limited places to sit. Throw in a loud atmosphere and you want to eat and get out quick! In...More

The line from here says it all, the food is good...really good. And the book store attached has a really good variety and selection. The only thing to comment on is the price...a salad and soup combo was $17; a piece of cake was just...More

This is a very popular cafe and for the life of me I cannot understand whey they don't get rid of the bookstore and fill it with tables and chairs because the seating is very limited and the line up to order food often means...More

If you're tired of the same old franchise experience, then Wendel's could be for you. It smells right, looks right and the goods taste right too. It's crowded because it's good, it's worth finding the time that works for you and becoming a regular... If...More

We are visiting from N.Z and enjoyed a great coffee here AND yummy lemon meringue dessert. Also nice to browse the bookstore. A very busy cafe on Sunday but well worth the wait

We've tried getting in there several times but it's a very small place, always crowded, some tables and chairs outdoors, smells wonderful in there with the aroma of coffee. Because it's so crowded and very long lines we have never had anything to eat there,...More

Free wifi and the recommendation of a local brought us here. Lots of gluten free options, including gluten free French toast with a berry topping. I had the smokin bacon benny..very tasty. Several gluten free cookie options, lattes, espressos.

Really enjoyed our coffee and snacks here, we were able to sit outside and chat without feeling rushed. The food was amazing and the coffee was perfect. Definitely recommend.

Popped in here for a latte after an amble. Cashier was brisk and when asked if there was tap I was met with a snappy “follow the prompts” with eyeroll. We waited over 15 minutes for our beverages with no line ahead of us and...More

Description
Wendel's nourishes hungry minds and bodies as an independent bookstore and fresh-food café. The café lavishes readers with a menu of fresh fare made in-house that eschews preservatives and accommodates dietary needs with wheat-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian options. An outdoor patio puts patrons in prime reading, people-watching, or espionage-conducting position to enjoy local scenery along with breakfast selections such as organic blueberry pancake and omelettes. Lunch and dinner selections span hand-held bites such as the chicken-and-avocado wrap and heartier dishes such as wild-salmon-and-asparagus salad. Coffee and espresso creations range from lattes and cappuccinos to mocha frappes and are brewed with beans from local roaster Moja Coffee and water from the local fountain of youth.
