Good place for coffee on the scenic downtown Commercial Street. Wonderful selection of treats to go with your coffee. Different kinds of bread and sandwiches are also great.

Almost like an old fashioned European coffee house. There is also some outside seating. Nice sandwiches and soup and lovely pastries, which are a bit pricey, but very good. Closes in the late afternoon.

While the plants could use a little TLC, the warm and welcoming atmosphere persists, as does the high quality of the food and coffee. Try a "cinnamon bun" with your coffee. Although it doesn't look like the usual doughy bun, the taste is more than equal.

a few years back, I reviewed this funky little place and rereading that effort, I have to conclude that someone is doing something right.....the coffee is still consistently good, the food changing, but always something for everyone and the ownership is still on the spot....I was particularly charmed by the fact that this time....our server made an effort to converse... The only complaint I have is smoke from the kitchen often permeates the eating area, making my sensitive eyes water. There is a small outside area in good weather. I love love love the French toast. Lots of lovely pastries, good coffee.

Visited Mon Petit Choux recently for a quick breakfast while in Nanaimo for a convention. The breakfast sandwich on brioche was absolutely fabulous, and they also had my favourite African Sunset tea to compliment it. My 3 companions were also pleased with their selections. Prices are reasonable, service friendly and the little coffee shop is quaint and comfortable.

Even the food was really good there isn't all that much choice. I love eating Lunch here but will pass next time for Breakfast. People very nice and atmosphere is fine, no complaints I just think I would like more choice. Lunch is different and I go there every time and totally enjoy it!

Love this place. I have been taking my granddaughters to this establishment for years after their art class. The atmosphere is great, the staff super friendly and I have thoroughly enjoyed every meal that I have eaten there. Every time I pickup my granddaughter for art class on Saturday's the first thing she asks me is, "are we going to... More
