This restaurant is a fixture of Prince Rupert. That being said the decor is a little out of date but that may add to the ambiance. This is a family run business with a real Italian flair. The food is good and the staff is nice. It is worst the visit. I had the burger but the veal parmigiana looked... More

La Gondola has been a mainstay in Prince Rupert for the better part of 60 years and has -- over that lengthy period of time -- no doubt seen the city morph and change from a bustling fishing community to one still trying to find its footing in an uncertain economy and an uncertain world. Nevertheless, through it all, this... More

The food here is good, but the hours seemed odd to us. Service was excellent, and we enjoyed our time here.

The food here is good, and the rye selection was right on par with what we were looking for. The décor however is quite old and it feels like we've gone back in time. Price point is on the high side for the overall experience.

We went here for soft ice cream. It is expensive $4. for a small cone. But it is not about that. You drive up turn your lights on and the car hop arrives and takes your order. The ice cream is real ice milk and they have trays that go on your window. This is not a fast food 2016... More

Context my friends.....context. This is Prince Rupert not a big city. It is an older location so don't expect urban, hip with new furnishings and prompt big city service. Don't expect loud thumping music that you have on your iPod, etc. Get my drift? Good. But, this does not mean the experience will be less than adequate...no, not at all... More

A nice view with a solid menu. This is a family run restaurant reminds me of dining in off the beat in Rome or Milan. The spaghetti e polpette (meat balls) was and is great ... and so's the Toscano rosso.

I got the chicken mozzarella sandwich and my sister got the tomato spaghetti. The chicken in my sandwich was so over cooked I could barely chew it and there was almost no fries. My sisters spaghetti was rock hard and the tomato sauce was cold and you could tell was store bought. A bit pricey for the low quality of... More

This place has been here for ages, apparently under the same management. I last visited here 20 years ago. It was good then and is good now. Prompt friendly service. Big lunch for 2: $45.00. Tidy washroom.

What a surprise it felt like stepping into an Italian restaurant in the 1970's . Good location, great views of the water . There were 3 tables occupied in this enormous old lady. The waitress who served us was affable enough but thought nothing of discussing her personal life across the room to her co- worker, making so much noise... More
