The menu looked good but sadly the execution and service was so poor I cannot recommend this place. It took us over an hour for our food. The people before us complained that their food was cold. At the time I just thought they were being fussy. I received my Tuscan Orzo with poached egg 10 minutes before my son... More

called in for breakfast as very near out hotel and recommended by the tour leader- the food was ok but not sure if the staff or the chef were on a bad day they seemed compeltely overwhelmed by the number of customers, even though the place was ahlf full and as such the service was slow and the food suffered... Had breakfast here twice and found it to be good value on each occasion. Enjoyed the omelet. The large coffee is very large.

Let me start by saying I'm usually very forgiving about most things in restaurants as I understand the difficulties and problems that can occur. We stumbled upon this place for breakfast, it looked really great and friendly and was very comfortable. It was clean and there was lots of space. Ordering took a very long time and being vegetarian I... More

Hearty and delicous breakfasts just across the street from the Marriott Pinacle. Friendly service. Offers take away or in-dining.

Took in one of my favourite lunch spots close to work today. Vancouverites must have been hungry since by 12:30 all the (delicious and huge) lasagnas were sold out. Moonpennies seems to be listed as a coffee shop but it is a full size cafe/restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch until 4:30 pm. The food is really, really good. Had... More

Got a muffin and tea (green tea tropical), was delicious. Good choice of items for breakfast. Reasonably priced.

Hand on does not begin to describe the poor experience we had here on a Saturday morning. Coming in for breakfast was a mistake, the walk up and order desk was ok, but the rest went downhill fast. The coffee was bitter, old and strong. The long wait for oatmeal finally came with a bowl of fruit that was hand-scooped... More

I ordered a simple cheese sandwich and unfortunately it was horrible. They used a dry and old cheese. People from the service were confused the person who was preparing food, was confused. I don't recommend them!

Doesn't worth a penny! Food was horrible, staff was lost, changed our orders with other tables, poor food safety matters... Completely undercooked eggs, staff used no gloves... We complained with the owner that was clearly also lost and doesn't know how to proceed with a customer complain. Other tables returned the orders too. Don't loose your time. Go to any... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
