I've been here for both breakfast and lunch and have never been disappointed. The Eggs Benedict isn't your typical one as it is baked as one but it tastes amazing and is very filling. The service is always great with friendly servers. Its a small cozy place with a relaxed atmosphere. The baked section is great! I've tried different pies... More

I've visited Acme a few times now and they never disappoint. Their eggs Benedict is baked and so delicious! They also have a baked goods section in the front that I haven't tried yet because I'm always too full after brunch but looks amazing.

The food is really good here, have never been disappointed. Had the 1/2 chicken today and was not disappointed. Also their meatloaf is really good. If you like pastries they make their own and it is very good.

We had breakfast here during a recent trip to Vancouver. First of all, I really loved the space, it was small but seemed light and airy somehow, and also had a bit of a vintage feel to it. They serve a really decent breakfast here, service was fantastic, the standout for me was a gluten free bread the server offered... More

We had heard a lot about this place so decided to try it for lunch. The food is decent and simple. Truthfully, there is nothing offensive about it. Turkey sandwich had real turkey and comes with a load of potato chips and a broccoli slaw as an option. The thing that elevated it for me was the great cup of... More

This old style café is in downtown Vancouver without having downtown prices. The food is excellent, service is efficient and friendly and the coffee is the best I have had in a restaurant for a long time.

We have just returned having visited the Acme cafe after a friend gave us the recommendation. Great service and amazing breakfast that is served all day and is very reasonably priced. I can highly recommend the 'Baked Eggs Benny' which is a different interpretation of a classic but very tasty! Located in Gastown this little cafe fits nicely in the... More

Great quality food at the Acme Cafe. The restaurant has a really neat nostalgic diner feel so if you are in the city for the 1st time or work downtown, this makes for a great lunch break stop. It is very small inside so come early or late but at noon time you might wait for a seat. I had... More

Staying in Gastown

Neighbourhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
