The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, the lamb in particular. I especially enjoyed eating at the bar, where amazing cocktails and hospitality really shone. Special thanks must go to Bailey, the Bar Manager, who managed to serve and interact seamlessly with about...More

Ate here before attending a concert. We arrived at 5:30 and were the only patrons but not for long. The place did fill up despite being a Monday night. Delicious homemade pasta with generous portions for the price. Lovely ambiance, great for a quiet dinner....More

A regular stop for us. The duck and radicchio salad and vitello tonato being two of our must haves. The tasting menu is a great way to go but be warned: it’s a lot of food.

Breakfast was delicious - food was freshly cooked, hot and delicious. Have eaten dinner here and it is equally delicious - a great choice within the hotel.

I am a brunch person. Every weekend we make a point to go out for brunch and usually try a different restaurant in the city. My criteria for a good brunch spot is: the food - flavour, portion and eye appeal; the service and the...More

I so wanted to love La Pentola, but alas it was not possible. The bruschetta was served on toast burned black, the dungess crab pasta was tasteless and bland, even with the lemon I squeezed on it. To be fair my friend loved her arugula...More

Sprinkled along Davie St. with plenty of other places, this was a very nice Italian restaurant. Very nice wine list, a delightful wait staff and killer bread to go with the Bolognese. Who could ask for more?

I can't remember the last time I was at a restaurant anywhere that had any kind of dress code. The short answer is 'No', but it is implied (I would hope) that you wouldn't rock up wearing a wife-beater and dirty ripped... More

Adam Pegg and Lucais Syme of Vancouver’s award-winning La Quercia restaurant deliver artfully crafted, Northern Italian cuisine at Yaletown’s La Pentola Della Quercia inside OPUS Hotel Vancouver. The Chef-duo’s intense passion for turning the best local ingredients into simple, deliciously executed Northern Italian fare can be shared in a family style or a la carte manner daily for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night. Artfully crafted handmade pastas and custom “nose to tail” meat and fish are the focus at La Pentola, each carefully prepared in its natural state. The chefs’ philosophy of importing Italian necessities such as olive oil and prosciutto contribute a rich simplicity to each dish.
