Oh my! What an amazing lunch we had today!! We were going to an afternoon play and decided spontaneously to have lunch at The Farmer’s Apprentice Restaurant. The best food we’ve had in years. A small oasis south of Broadway & Granville. We had the...More

Cosy little restaurant. Wait staff were very knowledgeable. Ordered the prix fix tasting menu with wine pairings and was not disappointed. They were even able to keep one of our meals vegan while the other had meat options. Wonderful, flavourful foods! So glad I tried...More

We ate at the Farmer's Apprentice for our last dinner in Vancouver, after reading about the restaurant in Bon Appetit. We are so glad we came. We opted for the four course menu. One of us had the lamb, one had fish and another opted...More

Some good friends took my wife and I for dinner at the Farmer's Apprentice where they have been many times but it was our first visit. They have a lounge next door that we hit for a cocktail before dinner and that was exceptional so...More

Had heard good things about this restaurant so decided to check it out. Ordered the prix fix tasting menu which included dishes I would not normally order at restaurants, such as pork. That ended up being my least favourite course but the others were incredible!...More

Had an excellent meal when restaurant first opened a few years back so looked forward to finally returning, this time for lunch. Pretty disappointed. Lentil soup with yogurt and walnuts, unusual soup-of-the-day option in hot weather, was a wee bowl of undercooked brown lentils, minute...More

Challenging and wildly diverse dishes (in a positive way) partnered with matched wines presented Vancouver's local foods and wine beautifully. Book well ahead and if you turn up early go to the cocktail bar next door. It's owned by the same people so they thoughtfully...More

We had not been here in a couple of years. Now you must buy the fixed menu. $45 and up. Portions are absurdly small. Bill for 2 people, no drinks, was over $100 and I left there absolutely starving. We won't be back.
