I came here a couple of times and the place was great for a night out. Warm welcome from the server and decent food. Loved their garlic chili wings and beer. They have a good selection of craft beers and the price was reasonable. Great for a game night out.

Came here last night to watch UFC with friends.we ordered the 'Appy platter' which costs $27 and it was vile. It was quite a large platter but the onion rings were stone cold. I told the waitress and she took it away to return with reheated onion rings. Nothing but mere oiled matter. Utter disgusting. I will not eat here... More

We had noticed this restaurant while walking down Granville and decided to check it out. When we walked in, the place was completely empty except for one person. We went around lunch time on a Friday and after eating there, I see why it was so empty. It took a while for our server to come and take our order,... More

We were the first to enter this sports bar/pub when it opened at 9am Sunday. The female Irish bar person/server was lovely and obliged us by switching on the Rugby World Cup semi final on an NFL Sunday. Our brunch order was taken promptly. I ordered the G Sport breakfast, 2 eggs over easy, sausage, bacon, potatoes and toast. My... More

Ate dinner here our last night in Vancouver. Food was pretty decent but the place was incredibly noisy. The ambience consisted of big-screen TVs surrounding the dining area. The walls not covered by TV screens were "decorated" by old pallets attached to the concrete walls. We spent our waiting time speculating how Spiderman might climb up the pallets to the... More

A kind of Canadian-irish style pub. We ate Sheppards pie, it's ok. Not surprisely, traditional taste we used to eat. Nachos is big dish, rich flavor and tasty. Beer selection is good enough. Serving is good as well. Good neighbourhood style pub, cousy.

Coming from Australia, we were looking for somewhere to enjoy the Superbowl. My daughter her friend and I spent the entire day at the G Sports Bar & Grill. The staff were brilliant and the atmosphere second to none. I ordered a meal from the lunch menu however; apparently these weren't being served on the day so I went for... More

Our bartender Neil was very knowledgeable about the local brews and also various scotches and bourbons that we don't have in the U.S.

Went with a friend from work on a Thursday night to have something to eat and watch NFL game. We seated ourselves, and waiting quite a while for someone to come over to take our drink order. We thought we had to order from the bar for a while. Ordered some local beer which was cold and good. Ordered some... More

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
