My work colleague and I chose Ciopinnos after wandering around Yaletown looking for a great restaurant on a cold Monday night in December. ciopinnos looked warm and friendly inside and the menu enticed us in. We were so glad we chose it. The food was excellent, the staff were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. It wasn't cheap but... More

I had walked by Cioppino's for months wondering how good the Italian was, especially the seafood. Finally made it in and was very pleasantly surprised with the friendly nature of the servers and hostesses. I had an outstanding porcini and chestnut soup and moved onto the sablefish. Good thing I paced myself on the oven fresh bread before the appi... More

A touch of Italian brilliance with a menu of pastas; risottos; fish and meats that will please everyone in the group. Very accommodating in adapting to dietary restrictions. Even modified desert to suit! Impressive.

I've tried to eat at this restaurant during 2 previous visits to Vancouver but they were always fully booked or closed (mondays). Finally got the opportunity this last trip and we had dinner at Cioppino's. We were a group of 6 and everyone was happy with their meals. We ordered appetisers, 2 of which were truffle dishes - carpaccio and... More

We chose Cioppino's for dinner to celebrate a special birthday of a family member. We were a party of 6 and it was a truly enjoyable evening. Staff were amazing from the greeting at the door to the waitstaff and sommelier. Warm atmosphere....not too noisy, and a round table that allowed great conversation. We all ordered different appetizers and mains,... More

We wanted to take my daughter and her friend to a really nice restaurant to thank her friend for something. This restaurant looked perfect - varied menu, elegant decor, good reviews, good service. Unfortunately the very rich prices are not backed up by the food. Not that any of our dishes were poor. We liked the lamb, beef ribs, sablefish,... More

After searching for Yaletown area restaurants we choose to dine at Cioppino's. It was the highlight of the food section of our travels to Vancouver. Outstanding entree selections made our choices fun to explore. The food quality, taste and presentation was outstanding; best grilled veal porterhouse I've ever had! The service was exceptional, wait staff were very professional as they... More

A group of us went here for dinner on the recommendation of a colleague. The location is great, and the restaurant itself looks very nice inside. It's quite pricy, appetizers averaging $20.00. I had the scallops (4) and I have to admit, they were melt in your mouth good. Being dairy free, it was difficult to find something on the... More

Our first night in Vancouver and this was fine dining at its best. Great service, exceptional food and a great foray of wines on offer. If you are staying in Vancouver you have to visit here. Being vegetarian did not deter. We were still offered a great selection of food and with the unprompted question of altering any menu to... More

Great service, it was almost like having a personal waiter. The food was innovative and different but done very well. I had the lobster tails in a great cream sauce with chicken lobster sausage. Divine. And while they pride themselves on their seafood, they also have a number of great entrees for meat lovers. If you want high end seafood... More

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighbourhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
