Very nice ambiance, service was friendly but professional. Starter was a special, buratta on toast (one order split would definitely do for a couple). Excellent. My special of cornish hen with crispy skin was also excellent and had nice accompaniments. Dessert was great also. Main complaint is that their wine list is ridiculous-pages and pages of very old and I... More

We took friends, visiting Vancouver we hadn't seen for 10 years expecting a remarkable night out. What we got was a ruined evening. While the food here was good our server was probably the worst I've ever experienced. He interrupted constantly, was arrogant and at time down right rude. Our advice; if you are looking for a high end dinning... More

Table was ready for our 8:00 PM reservation right on time, the restaurant had several large groups and our server could not keep up. When asked about specials our server rattled of the specials so fast we couldn't remember what they were.We didn't see our waiter unless he was delivering food or drinks (slow). We were never asked how our... More

Group of 10 for business dinner. We were well looked after from all aspects- service & food. I loved the fact that portions were NOT huge and thus nobody felt stuffed. Food was tasty! Would definitely visit again!

Easy Review - just GO!!! We have eaten here as a couple and as a wedding party. Both experiences were an 11 out of 10. Service was at 1,000,000 Star Level - DETAILS, PROMPTNESS and GENUINE would be the 3 words that come to my mind when I think about the servers here. The crazy thing is the FOOD is... More

Three friends, no reservations, mid-week, 8-ish, almost empty, attentive staff, pricey but we weren't disappointed by anything, not truly breathtaking but solid. Wine list was vast but, for the most part, started at about $50-60 and went into the hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands (and, no, those weren't the vintages we mistook for prices!) probably a good place to go... We were there on Tuesday night for our wedding anniversary. All I can say is our overall experience was terrible. Service was super slow. We arrived at 8:30pm and got our first appetizer (tomatoes & mozzarella) at 9:30pm! Then after our food arrived (needless to say we waited another half an hour) it was another disappointment. My pasta was super... More

We only had appetizers and wine, but would love to go back for dinner. We ordered the bruschetta, which was really good. Very fresh ingredients, lots of tomatoes and cheese, well seasoned. The bread basket was also very good...it comes with olive oil, goat cheese, and a butter with balsamic (all were great). The wine list is very extensive, and... More

Food was very good and they had several interesting dishes. Try the calamari which is grilled vs the traditional fried version. The house wines were very good and the atmosphere is quiet and romantic.

had a reservation for 14 that grew to 22 and they managed nicely. Our waiter did his best with a fairly unruly few and brought us out some great appies. However our meals were quite slow to come and my pasta was not quite up to level I expected, it was dry and had no flavour, waiter did offer to... More

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighbourhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
