Lucky to get a table outside on a lovely evening. Somewhat spoilt by the heat coming from the many patio heaters. We had to move it was far to hot. Others were trying to turn them off. Food was great, service relaxed and friendly. I had the tuna salad - was fantastic Tip - get a table right on the... More

After a long day travelling we were recommended this restaurant by our hotel porter as their in house restaurant was a seafood speciality. Walking up to the place and it was absolutely buzzing at 9pm on a Sunday night! And it was no wonder, food was superb as was the service! Why not excellent rating? I'm just a tough nut!

After walking around towm we came to rhis buzzing place and decided to give this one a try because the place was quite packed. We made it to the happy hour right before six. The waiter was very friendly and seated us inside. We took some ales and sliders - all on happy hour special . Ordered burgers and chicken... More

This was our second visit to this delightful restaurant situated in the beautiful Vancouver downtown. This gem of a restaurant has a combination of seating and is perfect for leisurely summer lunches or vibrant dinners which can be both casual or formal. The food is amazing. It looks beautiful and tastes equally great. The service is efficient and the staff... More

Great food! The service was decent. We ordered chicken sandwiches with fries and they were fantastic. It was nice of the server to offer replacing meat with avacado for us. The sweet potato fries were to die for! The tacos were really good too!

My husband and I were fortunate enough to stay in a hotel across the street from Joey Burrards on our recent visit to Vancouver. We went there for an early dinner to celebrate my birthday and were not disappointed. The restaurant has plenty of seating inside and outside and was quite lovely. Our host was also our waitress and was... More

Impressive decor. Excellent attentive serving staff. Interesting menu selections, with pricing in dollars and fractions, cute. Unique wine display wall. Food was delicious. I would have given one more star if my meal had arrived hot instead of slightly warm. It was replaced with a good hot meal.

We were at the Sutton Place hotel across the road and this was convenient and recommended by the hotel concierge. We were given a very warm welcome and sat in the quieter restaurant area rather than the lively sports style bar area. Friendly and fun reception and waiting team. I had spit roast chicken with a half rack of ribs,... More

Stopped by Joey's today for a light lunch on the patio....saw a few new menu items which are always welcomed....tried the curry dip with naan bread...awesome taste, and paired with a lovely Chardonnay. Servers were trying hard and earnest but as the restaurant got busier, server visits were far and few between.

Hello Stonecliff Thanks for the review, I agree that servers were trying hard that day you visited but we needed a few more which is my responsibility. I apologize for the impact it had to your dining experiences, I promise we are learning from that shift and ensuring we increase our staffing and service times. Thank you Jesse GM JOEY... More

We were fortunate to be able to walk in without a reservation because the place was crowded. The bar scene was packed. Customers of all ages, couples, families, a big birthday party...There was a cool, modern vibe in the place. The service was wonderful, and the menu had a lot of interesting options. Prices were reasonable too.

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
