we had an early dinner / late lunch at the fireside grill, we ordered the beef and crab burger ,flatbread with the daily dipping sauce and a cup of chowder. Chowder arrived first and it was pretty good..it was fresh but very under seasoned. Burgers were so good, thick and full of flavor. A real messy burger to eat but... More

It's a bit out of town but the trip is worth it. Book beforehand as it's busy. Their seasonal menu changes regularly so you won't get bored eating here. We really enjoy it here.

This dining establishment has everything going for it. Let's begin with warm bread accompanied by a perfect belend of the oil/balsamic mix. I had decided to have the mussel appetizer for my entree and so began with the sea food chowder.....delicious! The appetizer was ample enough that I could have done without the chowder, but it really was very, very... More

I have never had such a poor falafel in my life. Whoever made these should hang their head in shame. I can tell by the huge amount of flour added to the falafel, that the maker chose an easy trick to keep them together, however adding this much flour makes them chewy and bland. It was also obvious that the... More

We visited Victoria for three days and went out for a nice supper on our last night. This is fine dining at its best at very fair prices. The menu items are diverse and there is something for everyone. We had crab cakes as an appetizer, I had boneless braised beef shanks and my wife had a pasta dish with... More

Beautiful old mansion ambience. Food was beautifully presented in small but adequate portions. 3-course price fixe dinner was superb. Started with duck wings perfectly crispy. Wifey had grilled octopus and also delicious. I had beef cheeks which were very good but wifey's salmon was fantastic. Nice dessert too. Now admittedly, I'm American and the only exchange is quite in our... More

Wanted to take my wife out for dinner for her birthday. This restaurant has apart from a number of very good entrees on the menu; a three course meal special for a very reasonable price. The portions are adequate, but very, very well presented. I have recommended this restaurant to friends.

We had lunch here and found the menu offered a good choice of food at a fairly reasonable choice.Do not be fooled by the name this is not a grill as in steak house type.Menu is more European than American/Canadian.Very extensive wine list at above average prices.

Celebrated 35 years with my sweetie. Couldn't have picked a better spot. The food was over the top delicious, the service person was so attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was quietly elegant.

Fireside is your best dining experience on Vancouver Island. Tim, the owner, is usually there so things run like clockwork. The ambience is unparalleled being the dwelling is a magnificent, former, private home. The service is the best, especially if Seamas is you waiter (he's our favorite). The best part at Fireside is the food. In all the years we've... More

Description
The Fireside Grill is a wonderfully refurbished heritage manor with an upbeat atmosphere ideal for casual fine dining to small or large parties. The Fireside blends European & Asian recipes with proven West Coast favourites. We source many of our ingredients from local producers and farmers. We believe that farm to table is the best way to showcase our great local cuisine. Come and enjoy our 3 course -$25 menu offered every evening till November.
