We went to this location for lunch Thursday as J & J noodle house was unfortunately closed. I ordered Szechuan noodle soup, the noodles were disgusting and bland. It looks like they threw a scoop of kimchi on top. I told the server it was not what I had expected and told him to take it away. No replacement and... More

Johns used to be one of my favourite places over the years of visiting here. Now that we've moved here I must say that either my memory isn't what it used to be or something has gone terribly wrong. Our last two visits have both resulted in tough dumplings and overly sweet and soy-sauced dishes. Two dishes, the honey sesame... More

The service was great and the staff very friendly and accommodating. It used to have very tasty and just great food but something has changed and the food is now bland. I won't go here again but only because of the food.

Not a place to go for Chinese food, the food I ordered was nasty. My beef and broccoli was missing the mushrooms and I had about 4 THIN half pieces of carrots. The beef was slimy and barely lukewarm. My food was not something that makes me want to go back there again.

Before John's Noodle Village was sold, it was THE BEST Chinese food in Victoria. Since the sale, the food is just not the same. I wanted to cry the last time we ordered food in from this restaurant, it was salty, soggy and bland.

Let's start by establishing this: YOU HAVE TO GO HERE. It represents some of the best Chinese food we have ever had in Victoria. (We live very near the very popular J&J Noodle house, but we don't go there anymore). The food is NOT salty, and they have these gorgeous, delicate, handmade dumplings. Everything has a delicately balanced, complex type... More

Ordered for delivery which was on time but the food was so salty and tasted like it was covered in ketchup to the point where I couldn't eat more than two bites. When I called to complain (something I also never do) all I got was a yes we use ketchup, sorry you didn't like the taste, we can't change... More

I was so disappointed in this food. I live in a very rural town and came to the big city, looking forward to having our yummy favorites. According to the online reviews this place ranked pretty high. We had the ginger beef, very very vinegary and tough, we had beef and beans, the flavor was good, but there was about... More
