I am a local who frequents this restaurant 4 to 5 times in a year. Before paying your bill, be sure to check the price against that of the menu. I have been over charged several times and it appears the waiter currently working there is dishonest. He raises the price above what is stated on the menu and actually... More

If you are up in the Northd Douglas area around lunch or dinner time and have a hankering for good Chinese food give Ho Tong a try. Have been here several times over the years most recently last week for lunch. Food is still authentic and tasty service was efficient. I had a noodle dish with duck and bbq pork.... More

I find this restaurant does a good job at feeding you without breaking your budget. It is not high end fine dinning, but you will actually feel full for about $10 plus. Fine dinning is about $25 per plate and you still need to go to a fast food place to fill up some more. The owner manager is very... More

Visited Ho Tongs on March 4 for lunch. We had been to this restaurant a year prior and the soups were great, so we returned in hopes of a repeat performance. What a let-down. The 3 of us each ordered a different soup and we all had a spring roll. The spring roll was average, but the soup was not... More

Lunch Free parking - small lot and awkward. Best to walk if a good weather day. Décor typical of Chinese restaurants. 8 specials on the white board. Large servings and great flavors for Szechuan shrimp, crispy ginger beef and egg foo young. Egg foo young quite greasy but this is often the case. Large servings make great take out. Patrons... Great food, mediocre service, good value as long as you can tolerate consistent inconsistent service. Regular spot for me and family because simply the food is great and the value is excellent.

We had a lovely young woman serving us but half way through the meal, the owner's and her were arguing in chinese , and when our bill was brought out i noticed that the sweet n sour lean pork had been marked up to $10.95. On the takeout menu it was $9.50. When I asked one of the older women... More

Title says it all. The staff have always been extremely welcoming of my daughter since she first visited the restaurant as a baby and have warmly greeted her ever since. We've been provided tables and tea even when we arrive without reservation or just to (rarely) pick up take out orders. The food is well cooked, well priced, and and... More

I think you have to have visited Asia to really appreciate this restaurant. They specialize in Cantonese cuisine, which has milder flavors than you might expect. But, they do offer some mouth-burning Sichuan dishes as well, including my favourite, the hot and sour soup (the only thing missing is chicken blood). They specialize in soups - won ton soup in... Nice but nothing particularly special to be honest. I found the food to be quite average. Not too sure if I would go again to be honest.
